Default recommendation for an electronic boost controller (ttix)

can someone chime in with a good boost controller. looking at the avc-r and evc 6. i currently have a manual boost controller, but i no longer want to use it and want to update it. i have an eboost 2 on my supra but it only comes in 60mm and i already have a dual 52mm pod in my z. i could do another one but would need somewhere to put it. and dont want to do a custom console mount. looking at glove box or on top of the steering column which is why the box style or remote ebcs are attractive.

what are you guys running? and if you have pics of your setups that would be great too! thanks

The AMS-1000 is the baddest one out there.. You might also look at the one Hyperactive (sp) makes..

On most of our TTIX kits we use the E-Boost 2... On our automatic cars we use the AMS-1000.

busaetr,

i appreciate the thought. the ams is a serious unit, doing pretty much everything. a local buddy of mine just bought one and ill have to check it out.

frans,

im assuming you guys are running the eboost2's on the pillar? i guess i could just throw it in the glove box or make a plate for it there.

The EBII will fit in a pillar. Just have to hog out the 52mm hole a little.

i think someone just nominated themselves for an eb2 install the ams1000 is like 1k? from what ive read the 500 is similar but without the boost by gear ability. theyre both made by nlr, a turbo busa shop. the install doesnt look too bad...ill check it out. my manual bc is only doing 15psi from where we were dynoing 18 psi the other night.

The hyperaktive is suppose to be pretty nice also and the ams-2000 should be out soon.. I'll probably try the nms when I do my fogger.. NLR makes pretty nice stuff..

LOL The only reason I didnt mess with your E boost on your supra was because I dont know what JMS did to your mapping and if I changed the settings Id mess up the way the tune was built around it. Unlike when we do it @ the shop we tune the car while setting up the ramp rates. You really need boost by gear T man. Car is no joke and if we get invited to the speed syndicate event you arent going to have a chance if you cant hook. Ill talk to you tonight @ the BBQ at your house Jager/redbull/beer = Fun! LOL

I use the eBoost Street because I don't need six boost levels.

Can't do boost by gear/speed with the EB Street. Plus it doesn't look nearly as cool.

I use Blitz SBC ID for my Vette and my Supra. No boost by gear, but I use my foot control to get through the gears with minimal spin..

Really? I wasn't aware that I couldn't do boost by gear without the eBoost-II!!!!!!

*roll eyes*

My eBoost Street toggles off the push button on my LG Motorsports shift ****. My foot does the rest of the controlling. Plus, my a-pillar is already stacked with three Autometer Nexus gauges.

The information was for those who do not already have the controller.

Boost by gear is awesome but getting smoked by someone with single stage and mad skillz is epic.
