Default Update

I just wanted to update with a new PB again on 100% street trim like the car was last time (same everything else including 345/30/19 NT05R tires, subwoofer box, amplifiers and both seats etc) with the ONLY exception of 1/2 tank of gas, revised tune (shift points) and Pfadt shocks adjusted to 8 in the front and 2 in the rear.

I ran a 10.01 @ 144.28 but officials tore up the time slip and kept it before escorting me out. I will find out this week if I am banned or not. I have no idea what my 60' were like but the car felt like it actually hooked for a change! I am trying to get a print out of the run and post it up. I am anxious to see what this car will do with a proper drag pack. I had secured a drag pack but things didn't go thru as planned

lol j,k... nasty nasty nasty fast..why not go to a track that wont say anything, like Muncie.. I go there everytime I go see the RPM boys and it is a fantastic place with alot less nosey people running around looking for things like roll cages.. ask tj or rodney about it and get down there and run that 9.

Nouman, you need a roll bar at the least Sounds like your track might send your car to summer camp.

Saw some crazy chit happen last night at the track. I'll send you a link.

Mark thank you for the link and I totally appreciate your concern. Trust me, money is not an issue and I would go with a cage in a heartbeat but I am really not a hardcore drag racer. This car is 100% street car and the only reason I have been taking it to the drag strip is to shut some local losers one by one who called me out after getting their behinds handed to them in roll races thinking they had fast mid 11's @ 127 MPH cars. Besides I have a VERY expensive Caravaggio interior and audio equipment in my car that the cage will definitely F up.

I was on the phone with Bill yesterday and told him when it happened. He was on the track himself and ran his 10 second pass at 135 plus MPH

Best thing about my setup is that all I have to do is turn the boost controller off and run off the gates only close to 11.5 and slower than 135 MPH but I think I have already pushed my luck this time

BTW, if you need help with anything with your new build let me know and I would gladly share my experience with S trim and T trim as I have been there and done that back in 2006.

You sir are a steely eyed missle man! I'm glad to have had a small hand in that achievement. Man, not only kicked off the track but escorted off the premises...from now on I'm going to call you Dom Toretto!

Come out this way, I'm guessing the track on this end of the state won't be quite as upset about it.

Also: Congrats on the 10.01!! That is COOKING.

Chris I will try that but I need to have a drag pack to go 9's. Trust me, I have tested the limits (with my setup/combo) of 345/30/19 NT05Rs and then some!

Also I am thinking a harness bar will look t!ts with this setup!

VERY MUCH so, I love the seats man!!

I've got a fresh set of NT05R's sitting here in the basement waiting for my lazy *** to go get some progress done on my car and go for the single digits as well!

Yep, NO LIE. They actually made sure my car and myself was out the gates BEFORE they could continue racing legally Didn't even sell me a bottle of Gatorade at the concession stands

Hatred was strong
