I hope you can do it. It'd be great because 200MPH in a standing mile is one of my dreams but daily driving an 800RWHP beast on the street is neither fun nor very reliable...

Already done the Mile with 700rwhp in a ZR1 and was in the 192mph range. The car had right at 700rwhp and 700rwtq. It really takes 800rwhp+ to hit 200mph.

Ive heard of stock ZR1's doing around 184 (550rwhp ?), adding another 150+hp only got it to 192 ? something doesnt sound right. At least I hope it doesnt sound right
There is also this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuU-yNQv7IY this isnt even 700rwhp
who knows, maybe I can pull the restrictor and have a 2nd tune ready if it dont make it lol Im shooting for the May event in TX or a Miami event if they have another one.

I can run the 1/4 mile @ 130+ (136 personal best to date) but due to gearing and a few other issues I ran 160 in the mile (I also blew the engine up but still.. ) You'd be amazed how much you're not factoring in once you go that last 3/4 mile and try to push from 150 to 200. Gears are so so so important along with shiftpoints and power band and traction.
Everyone who slings numbers or says "well I should have enough power" really needs to just go do it a couple times without expectations and then see where they sit.

You'll change your tune when you do it.

Ive done it once in florida. I was at 180+ (I think more like 185ish due to their system being off - verified my many ppl's gps readings). I got to 150 very quickly, the 150-180+ took forever because 5th gear SUCKS. With the zr1 5th it should pull much better (I wont drop out of my powerband so much). I also ran a tall MT (345/35-18) drag radial last time, bad idea for the power limited folks. I will run a stock height tire this time. Gearing killed me last time (I was in 5th for over half a mile). Its not going to get me again.

no, the issue with the engine didn't cause any power loss, just the need to replace a few parts. The issue is running a 4 speed automatic and a 2.73 rear end. Shift to 4th and falls on it's face. I had plenty of fuel (although the tune was certainly lacking). It was likely running slightly leaner than I would have let it, but more importantly it was pushing water.
Good to hear, I just hate seeing people go in with wild expectations and come away disappointed- these events rely a lot on the little details, sounds like you've got the idea and I hope a 200mph tshirt is in your future.

That is how it always is. Vette's just rarely break 200-205mph. I set up at the Texas Mile every single time, in about the same spot. You can just see vette after vette(c6) generally run 170-195. MTI's NA car went 201 12 or 18 months back, then went I think 214 this last time. I think the record is in the 220's. Have to see if LMR's car or somebody else takes the record.
The reason I asked about your fuel system, is because I trap 135-136, (more in 2 days with headers and a cam), and want to run since I am also adding a cage. My gearing should be good with the m6(non z51) for the mile. However, the reason I held back during registration and the probably for May, is I have the stock fuel system. I don't see a 1/4 burst being a big deal on the stock block, but a sustained, boosted or sprayed 1 mile wide open run is a bit different.

I am right at the power level you were at, so if I do it, you will know it was possible.
If not, i will build the motor, remove the restrictor, and get it for sure. I'd rather have that for next years mod budget if I had a choice
the Car is currently at ECS getting the trans (zr1 gears), diff, and fuel system done.

Glad to know the driver is ok. Don't think I'll be running M/T's at the Mile w/ my C6 Z06 TT. Very scary to blow a tire at that kind of speed.
