Ok, They have molded a new SC for me and after a hefty Deposit being charged to my CC, it will ship today. I figure 5-7 days shipping and then I can get my car down to Green Cove Springs and have the SC swapped out. My CC will be credited when my old CC makes it's trip back to California to Edelbrock.
The soap continues....
Just watch, all this trouble and it'll still diesel! I think I'll shoot it if it does!

I guess an ECM swap is still a possibility but I'm running out of money on this!

CTHUSKER could be on to something here....thinking back to your initial problems with loading your ECU. I have a new E38 ECU part #12629009 (originally purchased for my 2009) that I will GIVE you if it is compatible with your car and if you decide to investigate further. You'd need to get it zapped with your VIN (dealer can do this I think) but it is yours if you need it.

If the SC doesn't fix the issue, I'll take you up on this. I need to do some checking and see what the heck part number I need for my car. I'll get back to you.
Thanks,
Elmer

Please post after you replace the SC. I know that more than a few people are interested in your problem. Hope it solve your problem then it would be a defective SC.

OK, small update. The SC was due in yesterday at the shop. I haven't heard different from the crew and unless I get a call to the contrary, I'm taking the car over tonight so they can work on a cold engine on Friday morning.

For some reason, when you turn off an 07+, it'll kick the throttle down to like 2%, and then open it back up. 06s don't do this. I've been bugging the crap out of HPT to give access to throttle control on shut down to try and alleviate this issue, because I've got a couple 07-08 Z06s that are dieseling on shut down. Every 06 I do... even with a carbon copy setup... doesn't do it.
Log your ETC TPS% (the actual throttle, not the pedal) and I bet you'll see the throttle kick back open after about a second.

Oh yes, the TP does one hell of a dance at shutdown. I see the TP open and the dieseling begins. I posted a screen shot of the whole dance on here somewhere! I've posted so much I don't have a clue where it it!

Convince somebody at one of the tuning software companies to do something about it and your worries will stop. I actually just bumped the thread on HP Tuners where I was b*tching about it.

Correct. I used the tune from Edelbrock that had a control over that function and I still dieseled. I just got that information from Edelbrock.

Since I can't attach here, I'll link to the pictures of the dieseling.

The first attachment was in March, the "05" attachment is in April.

Being an admin, I can fix the problem. You can see the attachments now as a guest. Sorry about that. Besides, I have the entire LS2 server to host pictures. These guys can allow attachments here but they choose to charge for the ability. I choose to not pay.

My car is apart, they compared units for the swap and...
Sigh....
This is my current SC unit.
This is what they sent me!
Looks like the LS3 or LS7 unit was shipped to us.
They are getting new gaskets and are putting the old unit back on my car. Edelbrock is responding. My CC will be credited. I have 2 hours of labor & new gaskets that needs payment. They are going to try it again and hopefully send the correct part.
Is it too late to put TTs on this car?
