That side bar looks different than the one RichieRichZ06 has in his. The curve part to swing out and clear the rockers seems to be straight. This would make more interior room. Is this the case?

I think I have it right, but Steve can correct me if not...

This car in Steves pics was the very first "test fit" and they adjusted the bends in the bar so that it cleared the door a little more by the time mine was being made. His clearance from the bar to the door was less then a sheet of paper and if the bar was not pinned in, it would contact the door and make a mark on it. On my car, they adjusted the bend so that it cleared more, causing a little closer fitment to the steering wheel and my legs. With it beig removable, there is no issue for street driving and little concern when racing. My leg just touches the bar, but does not interfere with launching or shifting.

hope that helps!

We already have sold the next three to come out of powder coating. Better get your order in now before my builder has a nervous breakdown! I told him this Corvette community needed this!

Three Vettes passed tech with flying colors this last weekend with the RSD Roll Bar at Pinks All Out at Infineon Raceway! 2 of the three were 10 second cars!

Steve,

Can you get a pic from the passenger side towards the drivers seat where the side bar comes down the door and steering wheel?

A few different angles please.

Also maybe one sitting in the drivers seat to show the room.

I am 6'3 and concerned for room.

Thanks in advance

Drew

hey steve, are the two rear bars and the two front bars only sandwiched to the floor pan with the plates? the main hoop looks to be bolted to a solid frame member, just wondering about the others. thanks

The Down tubes are bolted through frame. The Main Hoop is bolted through the crossmember, The front attaching point for the door bar is bolted through the floor with a bottom plate 6X6X 1/8th " thick with 4 3/8' boilts.
It is right out of the NHRA rule book.

You could just get it from me in black, take it to your powder coater, and have them sandblast off the black and have them make it Victory red. It probably would only cost you $100 and you would have the custom roll bar you want.

I don't mean to sound negative, I just know you have options. I also will not send them uncoated.

Good Luck,
Steve
