Dragon Pro Street 3.3L Whipple & Virginia Speed 402 Stroker - Final chapter
Well my friends I can finally see the finish line. Peter has come through with his promise by delivering a brand new Whipple 3.3L Supercharger and improved manifold assembly to replace my previous destroyed unit a no charge to me. He has come out of pocket well over $5000.00 to make things right. To all the Dragon Pro Street bashers and nay sayer, eat crow!!
This new version of the manifold has aproxx 15% greater cooling capacity over my previous version. The stainless blower mounting plate has been replaced with a 1/2 thick aluminum plate. The interior volume of the plenum has now increased along with some other flow modifications that provide this increase in cooling capacity. The overall height of the blower has increased 1/4 so they have provided 1/4 shims for the engine cradle. They have also improved on the finish by power coating the intake, gear box and bypass pipe to match the blower housing, 100% better with durability that will exceed the previous painted finish. The unit is now sporting a 3.75 drive pulley which Peter estimates rear wheel torque at around 680 ft lbs. As compensation for the problems incurred with this build they have provided a full ATI 8 Rib drive setup at no charge as well as a Spec SS twin disc, aluminum flywheel and dual walbro GSS340's at their cost. This all arrived yesterday Fed Ex ground freight in perfect condition.
I will be picking up my new 402 stroker from Virginia Speed tomorrow, pictures coming soon. Once I get the fuel system upgrade finished I will begin re-installation of the motor. I must admit, just like Sam I get a bit ill when thinking what this build is costing but hey, you only live once and you can't take it with you.
I figured with over 14,000 views of the previous thread that you all might still be just a little interested in my progress.

Well, I'm super happy for you. Sounds like Dragon, Whipple came out smelling like a Rose
I really hope people would also consider this kit as an option for the Corvette and seeing who is behind it.

I applaud Dragon for going above and beyond to make this thing kick but!
You've got all the right players and pieces so I can't wait to see how great this all turns out...
