Additional Maintenance
With the recent thread about changing spark plugs every 15k miles, I began to wonder:
What additional maintenance should I be thinking about after I am blown (next week or so?)?
I'm still on my stock plugs @ 60k! Mostly stock engine til now, highway miles.
Blower oil every 5k?

Supercharged cars don't demand any different maintenance from regular cars, other than more frequent belt changes (I do mine every 30K). At 60K though, you should change your transmission oil and your differential oil, flush the brakes, and lubricate the zerks fittings on the rear control arms if your car is Z51 spec.

I never go to 0% on the oil life indicator anyways; I feel that the supercharger puts more demand on the oiling system (additional heat plus the oil is circulated through the supercharger itself in my case) so I like to change it when the oil life indicator hits about 35%. Still works out to a good 7000 miles o highway driving.

I just keep tabs on the oil color and if I run the car hard, I will just change the oil regardless. If you are running the oil through the supercharger, I wouldn't think twice about changing it more often.

I think that was my thread and there was no definitive conclusion. I would think 15K would be on the top end for F/I. If you are taking the effort to pull the plugs to check them at that mileage it is worth the $30 some dollars to put in new ones IMO. I plan to change mine at 10K.

I have a similar point of view regarding the belt. Most manufacturers recommend you change the accessory belt every 60K; I like to replace mine every 30K because it is driving a Supercharger which more than doubles the stress on it.
