Default And so it begins....

The turbos, wastegates, and blowoff valves arrived today. Precision billet 82mm turbos and a 6 speed should make for a different experience. More pics to come as build goes on.

I'm curious to see how the 6speed conversion goes. I've heard its a nightmare. However, I'm sure Josh and crew have you covered.

Are you going to use the exhaust logs from your APS kit and make those turbos fit? If so, HOW?

The 6 speed conversion isn't too horrific...

LMR is building custom headers and locating the turbos in the fenderwells, very similar to the HPP kit. Converting the car to a TR6060 after doing a 4L80 conversion will be a piece of cake.

OK, COOL! Makes sense! No way those turbos would fit where the APS kits puts them...

I think your new set up will readily claim the new Corvette Mile Record!

RCC sick setup. I'd like to see it take down SW's TT Lambo. Now that would be the ultimate street car match up.

No offense SW. Your a cool guy.

Why go from 4L80 to 6speed?

the 4L80 can't handle the power or what?

I dont like street driving with the big stall and the auto limits my top speed.

Sounds like a great continuation of your project.

With fender mount approach, are you planning on trying to run piping so it does not run under frame? Also any plans to support turbo's overhung load (tendency to droop/crack over heat/cool cycles)?

Sorry for all the questions, is 6060 the ZR1 unit as the gears are supposed be stronger do to better metallurgy.

Well good luck with it, I'm sure you'll set the bar a notch higher .

The 6060 is in the ZR1 and ZO6. Im using the ZO6 trans because its gear rations are wider which will mean longer pulls without shifting on my new turbo setup.

U will keep stock ratio on all gears?

What about 5th gear? won't slow u down?

I'm 100% sure 5ht wont be a problem with anything over 600rwhp imagine 1500rwhp ....

But if he went to Texas-mile I think he needs 27+ tall tires to run 240+MPH 6th gear is useless

I pretty sure the car wil have enough power to pull any gear with ease.
