Default Adding Meth to a TVS 2300

Looking for anyone with experience adding meth spray to a TVS2300 install. Not looking to increase HP simply to add safety to the install and reduce IATs 50+ degrees to prevent any power cuts due to heat soak. So no tune changes only add the meth, just wondering where the nozzle would be placed and how much of a progressive spray to use.

Default Meth with Callaway Honker and TVS 2300

I have a SC606 Grand Sport on order already but am wondering about adding meth injection. I can see by the installation instructions that the stock MAF is used and a new IAT is installed after the inter-cooler.

http://www.callawaycars.com/callaway...gerC6Insts.htm

What I cant figure is where to install the meth nozzle(s) ... I think it should be upstream (toward atmosphere) of the throttle body and downstream of the MAF so it looks like this leaves only the accordion coupler between the MAF and the TB itself.

Seems like the accordian part would need to be replaced with a silicon flex tube section and nozzle installed in it.

Anybody done this ? Looking for guidance!!

You are correct on the placement, you will just need to fab up something for the intake prior to the TB. Some have installed the nozzle in the rubber, but I personally prefer adding an aluminum collar or something to that effect for better rigidity and appearance.

I'm wondering too. Sent a PM to one of the board sponsors/vendors that sell meth kits asking the same questions, but no reply. It's been almost two weeks. There must be no interest on his part.

There is a plate available that bolts to the tbody and is a clean install for nitrous. Should be good for meth too. On my TVS, I have an unused vacuum port between the tbody and the blower. If I decide to install the kit, that's where I'm going to introduce the meth. Wish someone would do the work and let me copy their work. I'll get a little more serious about the install as temps go up.

Send an email to Charlie at RPM. He has a programmable meth kit on mine but I dont know the specifics. He would be able to tell you.

Default Fresh air connection to TB Bellows

Thanks Doug@ECS

Looks like the TVS install uses the PCV fresh air connection to the TB bellows. If I change the TB bellows to a silicon hose any ideas how to get a fitting to match the OEM fresh air line connector? Or does it make sense to change to a AN fitting.

Would love to see some pics from an install like this!!

Also wondering what flow settings to use if all I really want is to keep the IAT down, no tune change to take advantage of the meth, just safety.

On another note have you been able to play with the 2010 launch control to see what impact if any adding 150 plus hp makes to its performance?

Callaway has a video on YouTube of them testing launch control on their SC606 car.

You will love your callaway once you get it. They are fairly conservative builds and pretty darn bulletproof from the factory. I also suspect if you add meth spray you will also probably void your warranty which is one of the biggest advantages of owning a Callaway.

If I was you I would wait until your warranty was up and at that time maybe add meth and do a tune and pulley at the same time to get what they left on the table which is probably quite a few horses.

I have the SC652 package and am quite happy with its current performance. Time will tell if I do anything to it but I highly suspect that I won't touch it. If I did I would probably have Callaway (or somebody) do the bottom end and then go for another 100+ hp.
