Default Introducing!! TPE's "Re-designed" Oil Pressure Relocation Kit [Bling Pics!!]

Total Performance Engineering is proud to announce the newest addition to our expanding line of in-house manufactured parts.

Our "NEW" Patent Pending Oil Pressure Sensor Relocation Kit.

As many of you know, we released our popular "Oil Pressure Relocation kit" about 8 or so months ago. It was met with unbelieveable success. We have had many hundreds of customers, without one single complaint.

But in the intrest of always making our product better, we have listened to a few skeptics out there who swear that by reading the oil pressure before the oil filter, there was a chance of a false reading. This caused them to purchase 200-250 dollar kits from non supporting vendors. This bothered us to no end.

So recently we sat down and tried to simplify the system, while making the entire kit better, yet keeping the costs as low as physically possible.

Well, the end result is nothing short of perfect.

On the current relocation kit, the only complaint we have gotten, is just how hard it is to remove the main oil galley plug. We even had our 1 and only return due to the fact that an owner could not get the plug removed. This bothered us, so we decided to do something about it.

In the stock C5/Early C6, the oil temp sensor is connected at the port directly above the oil filter, AFTER the filtered oil. It is encased in a small aluminum housing.

So what we did, is have a new oil distribution bloc CNC'd to accept both the factory oil temp sensor, AND the Oil pressure sensor. We also included in an 1/8th" NPT port for the guy who has a turbo on his car, and needs clean, filtered oil for his turbos.

Now, with the NEW and Improved oil distribution block, the replacement of the sensor is even easier, and more accessible. You no longer have to remove the main oil galley plug, AND you can feel confident that you are checking pressure after the filter. There is now NO reason whatsoever that anyone can complain.. We have satisfied 100% of everyones concerns, AND kept the price WAY lower than anyone else.

Also, with this kit, we have included everything you will need for a complete instalation. All the way down to the new factory gasket. It is a true plug-n-play kit. If you can unscrew your oil filter, you can install this kit.

We will be offering this in 3 seperate forms.
1) A complete kit, including the sensor
2) A Harness kit, without the factory sensor
3) And upgrade kit for our existing customers of the previous design.

The new "Complete" kit includes:
  • CNC'd Oil Distribution Block
  • OEM Quality Extension Harness
  • Factory Oil Pressure Sensor
  • 1/8" NPT Plug
  • Factory Gasket
  • 16x1.5 Oil Plug (For old sensor location, not shown in pictures)
  • 6mx35mm Stainless Cap Screws
  • Complete Instructions

The new "Harness Kit" includes:
  • CNC'd Oil Distribution Block
  • OEM Quality Extension Harness
  • 1/8" NPT plug
  • Factory Gasket
  • 16x1.5 Oil Plug (For old sensor location, not shown in pictures)
  • 6mx35mm Stainless Cap Screws
  • Complete Instructions

The new "Upgrade Kit" Includes:
  • CNC'd Oil Distribution Block
  • 1/8" NPT Plug
  • Factory Gasket
  • 16x1.5 Oil Plug (For old sensor location, not shown in pictures)
  • 6mx35mm Stainless Cap Screws
  • Upgrade Instructions

Although the original design works great, it was our desire to improve on an already product.

The advantages over our original design are:
  • New location after the oil filter in order to read oil pressure in all pressure enviroments, to include oil filter failure.
  • Easier access to new sensor in the event of a failure
  • No longer have to remove the main oil galley plug on the side of the motor.
  • Threaded 1/8" NPT port for all turbo owners who need a clean oil feed, without having to tap their existing oil temp port.
  • Supercharger owners who utilize the old oil port location for their blower oil feed no longer have an interference with the oil pressure sensor.
  • Complete plug-n-play
  • In an aluminum housing, exactly like the factory for accurate reading
  • Reduced install time by 30 minutes.

We have 20 of our original kits still available. After that, we will no longer be offering them, as we will phase them out for this kit. But if you choose to purchase our current kit, you can always upgrade in the future without fear of paying more.

These new kits will be avail to ship on January 18th. We have an initial batch of 100 made, but will be producing new batches within the next few weeks. Although they are not on our website as of yet, you can pre-order. You just need to call, email, or PM us. As you will see, the prices did go up, but the inclusion of a custom CNC'd part, all of the fittings, factory gaskets, and new harness, affects the total cost.

The Price's are as follows

"Complete Kit" $179.95

"Harness Kit" $129.95

"Upgrade Kit" $99.95

**Dealers/Distributors are very welcome**

***PLEASE NOTE*** On Late model C6's the oil temp sensor is not located in the factory position on this block. It is in a different location on the motor. The Late C6 kits do not have the oil temp sensor port. So your kit would look the same, but without the oil temp sensor port.

Oil Temp sensors are not included.

Installed on Ls2/LS3 Pan (same exact location as factory on C5/Early C6)

Not a dumb question at all.

The oil pressure sensor is at the top of your motor, behind your intake manifold. Since 1997 these sensors have gone out at an unbelieveable rate. In some cases 2 and 3 times in a year. The average dealer charges about 500 dollars to replace them being as they have to remove the manifold.

There are thousands of guys running around with pegged oil pressure gauges cause they dont want to replace something that is just gonna go out again.

So what we have done, is come up with a kit that allows you to swap the sensor once, then never have to take your manifold off again to do it. "When" Your sensor fails again, its a 3 or 4 minute swap.

If/When you have time, do a search for "Oil pressure sensor failure". You would be amazed how many thousands of members have had this problem.

Being that the sensor in the C6 is the exact same sensor, as the C5, along with the fact that its in the exact same location, its only a matter of time before your sensor gos to sh!!.

You will know it has hapened when one day you are driving down the street, and your oil gauge is pegged at 80psi. Dont freak out, its just the stupid sensor.

Also, with this kit, you get a 1 year, no questions asked warranty on the sensor.

Excellent point, I just remembered that. I will have my machinest re-draw the part for those specific vehicles. You guys will have a specific distribution block for those cars. We will need a few weeks to get them drawn and cut.

Also, having replaced the manifold a bunch of times on ls1's all the way to ls7's, the oil pressure switch/sensor can bust off easily. I have broken more than I want to admit when doing a swap, especially in a f-body.
