Glad you mentioned that. Magnuson is more than capable of putting a supercharger under the stock corvette hood. Infact we have.

In extensive testing we learned that the restrictions that are created by putting the blower under the hood drastically affected performance. Trust me when I tell you, after 50 years of supercharger engineering if we wanted it there....it would be there.

I am saying that we too could put a system under the stock hood, however the performance would be compromised.

Let me extend my congratulations to you guys for moving away from the old, inefficient Eaton Roots MP112 and 122 blower kits and into the TVS ones. I can't wait to see some numbers for these newest kits

Mine makes 0ver 560rwhp for an A6!!
I don't think that's too inefficient!{mp112}
Also,,,the ambient temps are not overly hot on My unit!
I love my 112,,,,and I'm sure that the TVS's are awesome as well!

ps,,,,I have seen some #'s and it's not much more rwhp than My unit.

would these "drastically affected performance" matters apply to the blowers coming out in March as well?

I self installed the TVS 1900 and went with the LPE SV3 hood. I didn't think the hood would give me away but the motorheads know I got a little something under the hood. The non car guys don't notice, but who cares about that. The TVS 1900 has instant torque and I know I made the right choice going with the TVS, zero regrets.

Basically I have a ZR1 powered Vette with an A6 tranny, and saved a lot of money.

My install is posted here on the CF.

So the TVS WILL be produced for the LS7? I just want to 100% confirm that, sorry!

What price are you thinking of setting the kits at and what is included? Will it be a tuner kit with just the hardware, no fuel/tuning, or will you provide a comprehensive kit with the necessary fuel/tuning upgrades?

I just wanted to take the time to slip in an unsolicited plug for Magna's "over and above" technical support. I have been trying to source a unique internal part (torsional isolator) for a supercharger made by Lysholm, sold by Eaton to Ford and OEM on the Ford GT. I've talked to so many SC manufacturers (to no avail), but my email discussions with Simon at Magna have been simply great. Obviously, Simon could have simply discounted my inquiries as clearly it has nothing to do with their product lines. Instead, Simon has answered every email very promptly and always with an objective of trying to help. Frst, he tried to see if they had anything that would work and then he had several good suggestions about other contacts I could try. He even provided some brief description of the material properties should we have to resort to making our own.

Anyway, this positive, prompt, helpful attitude - especially in this day is rare. I think it speaks volumes about both Simon and the type of company that Magna runs. I am both indebted and very appreciative of the help I received. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to invest in their products.

What kind of headroom (PSI/power) is there with the 2.3L TVS? I know that you are only spinning it to 4.5psi right now, but can this blower hang well in the 18psi+ range?

Also, my understanding is that eaton was gong to release or did release a 3.0L TVS... is this correct?
