Default Limits of stock fuel system + BAP + Racetronix, limits of D1?

What's the upper limit of RWHP the stock fuel system (not injectors, obviously), supplemented by a Kenne-Bell 40A Boost-A-Pump and a Racetronix pump harness, can support?

The same question for the D-1SC head unit?

"Support" means for at least the standing mile.

there really is no good answer. each setup is so diffrent. for my stock ls2 i was able to make 8psi boost before it was an issue. then it is a snow ball effect if you want more boost/power. if you can run 60# injectors most the time you will be okay with bap. after that....not so much lol

With my setup I had 750whp and the pump was hating life, I think to get to 800-850whp might work but not sure if the pump would last. I would not want to chance it though. Install the APS twin pumps and crank up the boost a little more, I was around ~10#.

I made 760 rw with a bap and 60 lb inj. that came in the ecs kit as this was with 10#. This was using my stock fuel system and the items listed above.

I would run a twin pump setup.

I was making 750rwhp on an LS2 pump with a KB BAP, 60# injectors and a heavy dose of methanol. Maybe Taylor or Jeremy will jump in because they have more experience running the mile. My concern with the stock fuel pump is having it over heat on such a long WOT pull like the mile. Standing mile builds are a bit different than building for 9-10 sec 1/4 mile runs.

Depends on how much you pad it with Meth

I hate BAPs, but they are popular...

The following, compliments of tjwong...

POST 2 tjwong: ...If so the BAP should be plenty adequate for what you have. Make sure that its wired right and its getting adequate power and that the wiring is sized properly. I have installed several of Andy’s kits and never had a problem with fueling, especially with the BAP added.

If you are slightly modded, then just go with a Z06 replacement fuel pump module. It is a drop in and I can personally tell you that the Z06 pump will support over 750hp without the aid of a BAP, I don't recommend it but I know it will as I personally tested it and it will fuel for 750+ rwhp.

Fueling with the stock style pump will be much easier, less complex and much more reliable.

I respect Tom as a diligent tuner and intelligent guy in general. With that being said, this statement has just not been my experience.

I have data/logs that proves that the stock Z06 pump can not maintain correct fuel pressure past 700rwhp WITH a BAP. I'm not talking about just one car. I've tested dozens of cars on the dyno and logging fuel pressure. You can keep making power past that but you will in the 40PSI or LESS range. If you were tuning for 13:1 AFR it wouldn't be so bad but it will never live with FI.

700-725 rwhp is the borderline safe limit with a BAP and the RX harness.

We have made some big power on the stock fuel pump (both Z06 and non-Z) and I cringed with every dyno pull...
