Can you tell me what the noise levels of the A&A chargers are when at idle or just cruising ? Do they make a lot of noise, or are they quiet and rather undetectable when the car is idling or you're just cruising.
I've a Firebird that turned into a project car with tons of upgrades and a custom supercharger system, but I recon now it's no longer driveable for normal purposes, noise levels being one of the reasons.
I'm considering supercharging my vette, but I don't want to destroy it's driveability. Can someone give me youtube videos of your cars at idle / cruising and relaxed driving ? What about longer voyages - what's the reliability and noise (again) ?

The only time I hear mine is just above idle. You can hear a little whine but not anything annoying. If I have the top up and windows up, I can't hear it at all.

I am currently driving a forum member's car that we just A&A kit'd this past weekend. This particular car has the factory exhaust manifolds, the factory cats and the factory quiet exhaust. If there was ever a test for what sounds do and don't get transmitted into the cockpit this car makes for a great testbed. My observations are that the sound of the supercharger is virtually undetectable at any speed from within the cockpit when the windows are up. With the windows down at a stop there is a very subtle whir of the head unit. The one thing that you can hear clearly and regularly is the "whoosh" from the blowoff valve when it opens to vent excess boost when you push the pace up.

You can hear my A&A supercharged vette at idle very well. Although, it is a Procharger which might be a little louder than some. I like the sound of it.

Ya the prochargers are quite a bit louder than the Vortechs.
