Default TVS 2300 with Callaway C16 Hood

Thinking of a Callaway TVS2300 kit on a 2010GS but am not a big fan of the louvered hood.

Will the Callaway C16 hood fit over the TVS2300 without interference?

Yes. Do a search for forum member C6 Tim who did that for his hood choice for his new Callaway grand sport. From the pictures I've seen, it does flow with the lines of the C6 better than the larger hood with louvers Imho.

Yes, you can get the C16 hood.

You can do it but it will cost you more money since it is a new/different hood. Not sure if they will give you any credit for the CF piece or not.

I was torn between the two when I ordered my SC652 (not sure if the C16 hood is even an option with the TVS2300 on top of the LS7) because itr does flow better like some say but I liked the added cooling benefits and carbon fiber on the other hood. I also like how you can see in and see the polished blower from behind the wheel.

I really don't think you can go wrong either way. My SC652 is CG so I would get more contrast with a silver bulge which would be nice but then like I said CF is also very nice and different.

Callaway Chris will chime in shortly - Good guy - (No I have not fully decided yet) but getting closer

I was thinking that the hoods were optional of which one you wanted. I could be totally wrong though.

On the Double D Exhaust, does it come with the chrome spears, it is hard to tell from the website as well?

The slats are an option.

Not a fan of that hood either. Check out the EPP - TVS hood with the ZR1 window.

Yes, but only a few buyers have spec'd the optional C16 hood for 2010. Most have stayed with the standard, Carbon Fiber hood bulge - esp. once they see it in person. We manufacture the hood bulges, in-house and the quality is unparalleled!

Check you PMs, I just responded a few minutes ago to your questions

I do not have any pics of the entire hood, but the one thing that I like about the inside is that it is completely smooth and will clear a TVS2300.

What hood is it, and, is the black spot notched for bracket clearance?

PS: Very nice wide-bodied convertible, a very clean look, tastefully done.

Thank you. The hood is from EPP.

There is a small piece of soft velcro to protect the hood from the blower. The F1R head unit is huge and the clearance is tight.

I have the same hood on top of a TVS2300. Hell, it's even the same color. I just might be a few hundred HP short when compared to TX427 though. It fits and seems to be pretty well made. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing.
