Default My A&A Kit Installed... Borla Catback only...

566 rwhp and 487 rwtq...
2007 C6 - Manual 6 speed.
Only other mod besides the new A&A kit was a borla catback...
Install was done here in Columbus, Ohio by IPS. Thanks Jeff/Mike.

After driving it, I'm debating on whether or not I want to put 3.90 gears in it or not. 6th gear with borla's sorta drones and way below power band... Anybody with 6 speed c6 with 3.90s know RPMs at about 70 mph?

Is your car a Z51? The gear ratios are way different. My opinion is that a 3.90 is way too low for the Z51 trans and just about perfect for the standard trans.
I have 3.90 gears in my C6 Z06 with about 750RWHP and love it.
Glad your install went well. I think you'll love the system!

I believe it is a z51. What I do know is that at around 70mph in 6th gear i'm taching at around 1,500 rpms... i'd like to be around 2,000.

How the heck does one know for sure if it is a z51 or not?

If you have drilled disc then you have the Z51.

Great numbers. It must be a blast to drive. The A & A kit is the way to go. I will be joining you in the FI club very soon.

So you installed a modded C6 Rear Andy with gears in your Z? Too bad they dont make C6Z gear sets yet.

Drilled brake rotors won't necessarily give you the answer. Sometime in 2007 the F55 cars were fitted with the same brake package as the Z51 optioned cars. There is also the possibility that a previous owner could have upgraded the rotors..assuming you are not the original owner. Open the glove box and look at the list of RPO codes on the sticker on the glove box door... "Z51" is what you are looking for. The Z51 package will also have RPO code "MZ6" for the manual transmission vice "MN6" for the non-Z51 cars.

Having the rotors is NOT proof that the car is a Z51.

70 mph at 1500 rpm does not sound like a Z51 6th gear. Z51 6th gear at 1500 rpms is about 62 mph. That sounds like non-Z51 results.

3.90s with a Z51 yields 72 mph at 2000 rpm in 6th gear. That is what the math shows and I've confirmed this using my GPS. 3.73s on a Z51 yields 76 mph at 2000.
