I ran it to some belt slip and only got ~860 rwhp. I am good with this for now, I am gonna work on some other things and try a HD belt sometime.

What was the timing set at for those numbers? With the belt slip that shows up on the boost plot, you were only at 10 psi at max HP.

Much better that when I was in getting my X-pipe installed.

That is a very keen observation, it should be 900+ at 15 psi. Timing is around 18 degrees, it was going up 12-15hp for every degree of timing I put in it, I am aware that if and when I do get some boost up top I am probably going to have to pull some timing up there, but for now I have it set to go dead rich at around 185 kpa and up at that rpm range. Also note I am running a heavy amount of methanol with this setup too. Injector DC was only 70% with a base fp of maybe 72 psi, lol.

Very fun Richie, and yet scary when it breaks loose at 100 mph lol.

Default Totally ridiculous!

That is just stupid. You put so much power and torque into it that you will never be able to use it all. You will never find a tire that can get that much power to the ground, so you've got a car that wants to spin out every time you touch the throttle. And why did you do it - just so you can quote some number to your friends.

I'll keep my car, thank you.

What size cam and compression?

Not to mention, quote the number to his customers.

What better way to tout your shop than to show what you're capable of doing - in your own car?

I will agree with you on one point - that car is stupid.

In a good way.

Thanks for the laugh! I somehow think things are a little out of context for you, but your post was amusing. FYI this car will drive like normal, its not an on and off switch like you would think, the control is all in your right foot.

Yea its Andys fuel system with some aeromotive rails, and a ton of fittings from aeroquip, not cheap at all.

Cam is a custom grind I did. its a low 240s intake duration high 250s exhaust. Compression IIRC is around 9.5:1 Whatever stock head chamber size is, MLS gasket, and a -23 dish piston comes out to. As Andy would say, us kids and our big cams, lol.

Thanks Steve, you are 100% correct, I know a car like this is not for everyone, but it is by far the hardest projects around to do, and we handle something like this with ease rest assured when my customers ask for less than this they have confidence we are doing something for them that is straight forward and we have seen many times before.

Callies Crank and Rods

Originally, we were going to use the stock crank and titanium rods. We used a block that was sleeved by Race Engine Development, as Nick's block had a split sleeve. (These sleeves are WAY stronger than the stock ones) Nick opted to go with the Callies when we found out four of his rods were wiped out.

Not true at all. I put every bit of 1000hp to the ground with Hoosier A6's.
