Hey guys I'm looking into getting a turbo system for my new c6, just wondering if anyone has heard of HP Performance and what they think of them.

Thanks

Don't know HP performance...But HP Sales of Pompano Beach,Florida has a great reputation...and have installed many turbo and superchargers on Corvettes. Your profile is lacking in info...so I hope this is close enough so you could take advantage of there expertise.

Where are you? Chicagoland? There is an HP Performance here. Check the Great Lakes forum for more info on them.

Yes, HP Performance is out of Roswell New Mexico. I currently have one of their systems for my C6. I have not installed it as of yet. The Kit is very well made and the parts themself are very good. The only bad part about them is ALMOST everyone has had problems getting all of their parts in a timely fashion from them. I bought my kit used from a board member so I didnt have worry about it. I only know of a few people that currently have the kit installed on their cars and those people love the kit and it makes tons of power. I know Jason from Texas Speed has built many cars with this kit and would be my suggestion to talk to for additional information. My Vette is my daily and I do not have another car to drive while it is down which is the only reason I have not installed the kit yet.

Also does anyone know of a good shop in North Florida i could get my car tuned at? I haven't looked around too much but would like to hear if anyone has any recommendations.

These guys I have heard great things about.

I am trying to line up another car for a daily right now so I can put down the vette for a few weeks to do the install. I will keep you posted.

I'd be VERY careful with them.

Over the years there have been a LOT of complaints about people waiting over a year+ to get parts when they were told they were in stock.

If you're going to purchase from them I highly recommend that you put all of it on your credit card.

Technically they're not supposed to bill for it until it's been shipped but I know a lot of vendors that bill first.

I believe you have up until 60 days with your credit card to be protected. If you dont receive the complete kit by then you can file a complaint. I wouldn't purchase a kit from them any other way.

I personally would recommend that you go call Nick or George at Turbo Technology, Inc (253-475-8319). The TTI X kit has been proven to be a great performer, there is no long wait and their customer service is impeccable!

We used an HP Performance Kit (Roswell, NM) on the above '02 Z06 years ago. I have heard from a shop that has used their kit on a Mustang that things have not changed there. Bob

MIke Norris in North Florida is excellent - he is in Altamonte Springs.
HP Sales are in South Florida - Pompano and also excellent.

I know you guys had a hell of a time getting the parts but when you did get the parts from them how were they? Good Quality nice pieces or just junk that you would need to fabricate yourself anyway?

I would use a Turbo Technology kit. We are building 2 C6Z06's with TTIX kits on them now.

The headers and turbo pieces were all well made and are still working well for our customer after five years of use. The inlet side and intercooler tubing never were delivered, they did send us some of their molds so we could try to make our own.... It turned out when our kit was ordered and they promised us the moon, they actually did not yet have a kit. The pictures on their website had been photo-shopped in. Bob
