What would you guys consider an ideal a/f for this setup? So you guys dont have to scroll up its 7psi totaly stock ls7 engine. I'm putting meth on as a safety measure for those hot summer days where i live but don't plan to tune for it . Will this cause the car to run rich at all?

gdiddy,

Without meth I shoot for 11.8-12.2:1 A:F. Once Meth is installed, depending on HOW MUCH meth you are spraying, then I shoot for a target A:F anywhere from 10.5:1-11.5:1.

Remember, most folks tune meth for right around 4.5:1 so that offsets our petrol based stoich balance considerably.

Methanol can run almost 3 times as rich (volume) as petrol based fuel and still make great power - so don't worry about running rich when injecting meth. It will still make great power and cool things way off.

Once i have the tuning done on a dyno in the next week ill post up the results. What do most guys go with for there tt setup?

Sorry guys been busy with life. With the tuning from sts the car put down 586 rwhp and i believe 550 torque. Im sending the car to a shop that specializes in vette tuning to have it finished. I'm not expecting much more in hp but theres some 'issues' with the current tuning . For the record i ate some rice recently , the old vette liked chewing on a new gtr

Numbers seem low, I put the same numbers down through my KB LS2 and thats through an A6. Might want to check with your tuner and see if there is anything he can do about it.

Heres a vid of my goat with a single tiny turbo:

I think a set of headers would probably help you out alot!
The more air comming in the better, any reason why you chose to have no supporting mods?

No reason other then seemed the opnion was it would run well the way its setup. Ill let everyone know what happens with the tuning that i have done. I told the shop that its going to they could do whatever they like for exhaust etc. What would you recommend?

Most turbo kits come with their own manifolds but since you went the STS route you can choose what ever headers you like, I know the more air the more HP so a set of 1 7/8 headers would be my choice, possibly thoes new LG superflows,

Turbos are powered by heat, not by "air". Ahead of the turbos you want the exhaust that loses the least heat. Usually that means factory manifolds, and if you're real serious you use exhaust wrap on the system up to the turbos. Most STS cars that install headers lose horsepower and gain lag.

These numbers seem low to me, I would expect that it would fart out 600-650rwhp with those turbos and 7psi. I would get a good tuner in your area to get it straightened out. Hopefully someone with an STS kit can chime in with their results. I would definatley go with meth, for the saftey and cooling .

i would not go with a set of headers if i was you. STS turbos DONT like them. the only time you do that is if you have a 800+ monster that you have to have the flow out of the motor. Turbos work off heat and headers let heat out, ifg you do headers your spool time will go up and you may actually loose HP. if you want better spool time put a turbo blanket on it, and you can also wrap SOME of your exhaust system. Also you should be in the 625 range on your wheel hp with 7 psi.

take those cats out before they destroy themselfs, get a one peice stainless x pipe you will love the power and sound will be nice,I have built many gto rear twin turbo setups with headers, A X pipe and 3 inch stainless pipes back to the turbos, then out to the factroy tips, car sounded nice, not loud at all, guess it all depends on person, now I use mufflers after the turbos, love it.
I have also ran 13 psi to 15 on a stock ls2 for three years on 93 octain,TUNE is where its at,IMO spend thousands on parts and if its not tuned right, car might not ever run to its potential.
