Ok guys, we made the first pull this morning. Looks like the torque converter is way to loose. Wastegate only(5.8lbs) she made 600rwhp. The car went to 7200rpms and only 104mph in third gear. Looks like we will be waiting on a new converter.

What converter did you use? Precision industries?

Power is close to where it should be though.

After getting the car running its dead in the water again. The transmission had internal failure on the dyno, talk about things that will make the most patient person want to kick something. We have it out and it will be torn down tommorrow to find problem. But I did get a bit of good news today, my long anticipated fast lsxr showed up. So now we can change it out while waiting on the trans.

Im hoping to get this thing finished soon.

Im not going to slam the people I bought the conversion from, but I am very unhappy to say the least. I was going to use a sheetmetal intake but was worried about heat soak since the car will be street driven alot, so I figured the fast was my next best option.

We have Nick Williams 102mm TB in stock. Please give me a call at the shop if you wish to purchase one. I also have plenty of the LSXR 102mm intake manifolds ready to be shipped.

Went ahead and started making some baby pulls, car put down 750rwhp on pump gas on only 8.4lbs of boost! Will turn her up a little bit and get some dyno vids beginning of next week!

Have you addressed the cooling system? I know that puppy is going to generate some heat.

Car has a aftermarket Ron Davis radiator and big single intercooler instead of 2 small one that APS kit comes with. I hope these will do the trick.

I wish I had more numbers to report, but I dont. The APS fuel system wasnt up to the task. So I figured why it was up on the rack waiting for the new fuel sytem I would shoot some pics of the bottom of the car.

Looking good.

If that is the APS exhaust and you plan on running big boost, understand you will balloon those mufflers in no time.

Im using B&B fusions, I ve heard the aps exhaust had alot of drone. Im only running the exhaust on the street on a low boost setting. The exhuast was built to be easily removed for the track.

Looks good RC, these types of builds take a lot of time and persistance. It's always worth it when they are done though.

Hang in there!
