Default Precision Metalcraft Intake Manifold

Has anyone on the forum tried this intake manifold with a centrifugal type SC or turbo?

Do think there would be any HP to me gained by this design? They also make a shorter runner one to fit under the stock hood.

Don't think that will fit under a stock hood? Nice piece, though.

I saw this intake at PRI in florida and the intake runner lined up TERRIBLE with the flanges. They were only welded on the outside and not on the inside and then ported smooth. Other than that the intake looked nice but it looked like a peice of **** for 3500 bucks IMO

I think this is the better mouse trap and it fits under the hood.

Here is the twin injector Hogan Sheetmetal intake that LPE uses in their TT cars.

+1 for hogan. When I build my N/A Ls7, I will for certain use a hogan sheet-metal intake. Build quality and performance is second to none.

If you had any knowledge of these sheet metal intake manifolds first hand, or have run them on other applications as I have, it's worth noting that you can see HUGE increases in RWHP on tuned applications just by using these intakes. Do some more research.

ie. Dollar for dollar, it's a lot more impressive than the gains you will see from a 500 dollar C.A.I.

I saw the same intake at PRI. The gentleman made sure to tell me that the actual finished product would be welded on the inside. Take that for what it's worth.

+1 for Hogan. Yes, they make one that fits under the stock hood (a prerequisite for anything I build!)

one could say this has been the subject of my research as of late......
sexy but expensive as hell...(3,000.00-4000.00)

sexy and cheaper then crate motor lol... (1650.00)

the frst one is so bad *** looking but wont work with blower....well i would assume since it split down middle.... i leaning towards the second once they make a longer runner version. the one in pics is for ls3 but is just a 4 inch runner so.......
i thinking polish the main section and anodize the mounting flanges red like the carbon fiber one and it will look right at home under my hood

Jeremy, Does the stock hood fit with an elbow or maybe an LG? What about heat soak from an aluminum intake?

does not fit with "this" elbow, but Taylor is designing one that will, call me and I'll explain, too much to type... as for heat soak, no crazy or out of line IAT's so no, not an issue what so ever...

give us numbers buddy.

$3000+ for how many HP?

vs

sub $500 for 25 RWHP CAI.

for the value to be greater youd need to make 6 x 25 = 150rwhp out of this intake.

Tell us more about your experience, have you seen 150rwhp from sheetmetal intake manifolds? lol

Now on the other hand, the dallas performance manifold looks like a good peice for a VERY GOOD price.
