Default Fuel mileage better/worse in city driving?

Really digging the idea of a Paxton supercharger setup for my car. One thing I'm still hung up on is parasitic loss in stop & go traffic.
I understand the Magnuson unit has a bypass to only use 1/2 hp during the non-boost cycle. Would a centrifugal supercharger offer the same feature? If not, for an average of 21 mpg that I am currently getting, would my mileage suffer much?

I just got my Maggie and I believe my milage is going to suffer beacause I cannot get my right foot to stop pressing the pedal to the floor to bring that smile to my face.

If you are thinking perfomance mods, my thought is that gas milage thoughts go out the door. Gas is still cheap compared to the cost of the mods. Fun factor however is priceless.

Mod it and visit your favorite Gas attendand a few more times. You will not regret it.

During non boost situations you will actually have an increase of fuel economy because the boost overweighs the loss off the SC (which is very minimal btw)
During boost situations naturally it requires more fuel so less fuel economy would occur, but you sure get there a heck of a lot faster!
So for around town, and highway cruising you will be at/near/or better than before.

hope that helps.
