Default Anyone have experience with running a cog belt setup?

There is only one kit that I am aware of:

ATI PN: 917341C - LS1/LS2 Alt, tensioner, Power Steering and 74t 30mm wide cog damper dia 7.5" List price of $1129.61

I wonder how much noise it produces and if the PS needs to be moved.

FWIW, it was a lot of work getting my Camaro cog setup dialed in so that it didn't eat belts. I also broke the crank snout.

Dammm...I was told you need a clutching pulley on the blower to prevent that from happening. The micro-v belt slips when you lift under boost - cogs shred unfortunately. We never had those problems in the marine world.

I haven't followed up with ATI, but was told they have a limited selection of pulleys for their cog kit. Looks like it may be easier to go with a 8 or 10 rib. The cogs sound nasty though.

The bottom picture to me looks like all shafts were not parallel, possibly flex somewhere.

Static alignment was good, but there was a lot of flex. It was not the plate we fabricated, it was the cast aluminum brackets flexing. I ended up making a guy wire out of $9 worth of hardware store parts that prevented the blower from "toeing in" under boost. The first time I ran that setup at the track I broke the crank.
