Hello,

I am about to install a boost gauge on my C6 Z06 and would like to know which cable has 12V WHILE cranking?

Thanks in advance

Use a multimeter to check which wire has power while cranking

Why do you need it while it cranking?

That is what the instructions say. AutoMeter says it will give false readings if it is not connected like that.

Got this pic from another forum member..

Yellow wire is located under the steering column big bundle of wires (12v switched)

I hooked the dash lights up to the gray wire coming off the dimmer switch.

Is it a plain gray wire for the dimmer?? And is it connected right to the switch? I don't think my car has a gray wire there.
