Default Anyone running a Procharger D1-SC on LS2

Anyone running a Procharger D1-SC on their stock LS2? I would appreciate any feedback, pics, Pros, cons or anything else. Looking at purchasing one and need to know if it right for me. What is the difference between this and the P1-SC. Any and all experience wanted. Thanks.

The major difference between a D1 and a P1 is the impeller. The transmission gear ratios are the same. The problem with running a D1 on a stock C6 is the pulley size. A stock kit will come with a 4.50" blower pulley for 6 psi. To drop the psi on a D1 you would need to go all the way up to a 5.00" blower pulley to make 6 psi. With that blower pulley you will just barley clear the hood. Something that would help is to do a full exhaust system. This should free up enough restriction to get a 4.75" blower pulley to make 6 psi.

The D-1 is the ONLY WAY TO GO. The D-1 will provide you with a much better belt wrap because you use a bigger pulley to make the same psi, and no the 5" will not rub on anything but I would never use it because the motor can handle a lot more. I have several friends here in houston running 4.25" pulleys on D1's with no problems, one of my friends is making over 700rwhp for over 2 years now with no problems. If you don't want to go crazy just run a 4.5" and that will make about 8psi (about 575rwhp with headers) and yes headers are a must. And most important of all for added safety run a meth kit. Good luck

Iam not sure I would call ATI and check with them just to make sure. I have done years of research and I have not found a bad s/c unit but IMHO the D-1 is the all around best SC unit out there for street usage. It can run as low as 6psi and as high as 18psi, gives you a lot of flexability.

Yes the kits are the same. The only difference is in the tuning.

...with both
go with the d1 it gives you alot more room to grow!!! diff in kits is just tuning. i started with a 5" pulley and it didn't rub

I agree, that D1-SC is the way to go! definately install a set of full length headers, and a X-pipe. you should see 8 PSI right off the bat, and your LS2 is plenty strong enough to handle that.

Then in the future if you step up to some ported heads, and forged bottom end, you already have the blower to support more boost.

Check out the power we are making on this LS2 GTO.

It has headers and exhaust but the engine is still stock. A stock C6 Z06 on my dyno makes 440 to 450 rwhp, so 532 rwhp is quite exceptional. Bob
