I just got off the phone with NGK and they told me to run a TR7IX 3690, its a colder plug and will take the 18-26 lbs of boost and high heat.

Next time mention the boost that's being planned. That is big boost. I'm only running 12.5 PSI.

Hi Nate,

I should have thought to mention the RP when we were on the phone....all products are great, except the motor oil. In our race engines we have seen several bearing failures w/RP. Their gear oil & other products seem fine, but we will not warranty our Xtreme builds if RP is used. Of all the oils, we still come back to M1 15w50 for our high RPM built motors.

We have seen a small HP increase w/RP due to how quickly it sheets off the cylinders, etc. But the only way to use it in our race motors is to change it after every run....and that is not practical.

We race year round all over the Eastern US and push our race motors day in & day out, and will not trust RP.

One of you is running 18-26 lbs of boost and another is "only" running 12.5 lbs of boost. Details please, as in compression ratio, octane, water/meth/whatever injection. Inquiring minds want to know.
