Default Cold Air Finally Here..........

Houston has finally gotten some cool weather recently......high's in the 70's and lows in the 50's. This is the first time since my D1 install that I've had the car in anything below 90f......my outside air temp usually read above 95 and I've seen as hot as 107. This cool/dry air is like having a blower on roids. I can't believe the difference

My co-workers think I'm a little strange.....they talk about this being good weather for BBQ's and golf.....I'm stuck on "this is awesome blower car air" I'll be heading to the track as soon as my tires/rims come in.

I was out lurking tonight like a pitbull in meat locker trying sniff out anyone who would bite at the oppurtunity to roll with me. There's a lot of squirrels around here driving 13 sec Stangs with enough gauges to fill a 747 cockpit.....none out tonight though.

Any of you other folks enjoying cold air??

OOOOH YEAAA. Been in the mid-50's here, and it's like haveing a big shot of squeeze on top of the ProCharger. I swear the motor must make another 100 horespower when its cool (can't wait 'til janurary!!!). Traction becomes the MAJOR issue. BIG power, cool tires, cold asphalt. Good traction in 4th, though.

The weather has been great in Houston. I am in the process of researching tires because now I have no traction at 5K in 3rd gear. I was going up 45, on Wednesday, to pick up my wife at Intercontinental and I shifted into 3rd and it just started roasting the tires. It is amazing how much stronger the car feels.

I'm not easily scared but.......I need some traction. Can I have the cold air and a warm street? Yeah, I know, cake and eat it too
