Fan control module burnt out,Anybody have this problem??

I have had 2 fan control modules fail on me in the past 2 weeks, my mechanic is replacing the entire fan assembly ,fan motor and module this time.
Anybody have any clue why this would happen.
Is there any other solutions I could look into?
