Default Boost purchased vs. Actual

When I ordered my Procharger, I told them to furnish a pulley that would give me 7 psi boost. After installing Big Bollas three mods (Mover intercooler out, reverse intercooler, and relocte BOV) It dynoed at 8 psi max. Then the other day, it pumped out 8.5 psi during a run through the gears. I have a peak reading boost gage, so after every hard run I see what the max boost was.

Anyone else have similiar results? I do have lg long tubes so maybe that helped to improve the boost?

DG,
There is no way for them to know exactly which pulley will yield a certain boost level on each application, too much to factor in... and the headers will actually drop boost, they make a more efficient air pump, the blower works less hard to push the same amount of air through it, thus higher and more efficient power...

Cubic inch, camshaft, heads, headers, exhaust, cats-no cats, rpm, elevation and probably more that I'm missing at this time of the morning all play into spec'ing out what pulley to send with a customer's ProCharger.
Changing around the intercooler might of gained you some. I haven't tried it myself to know if it picks up boost. Bob
