I am VERY impressed with the unbelieveable amount of RWHP which you guys are making on some of your cars. It would also appear that a lot of people are having real problems with traction. This might be an oversimplification but if 2 cars have the same RWHP whichever car can maximize the traction and get the most HP to the ground will be the faster car.
The above being said I am wondering if there is a way, especially with all of the electronics available today to bring the power on in a linear way where you don't just blow the tires off the car? I am specifically interested in doing this with some type of supercharge/turbocharger setup.(*I know in Nitrous type cars they can do this in either steps or even a linear type fashion)
All of you manufacturers such as APS, STS, Magnuson, etc. please feel free to advise.
Thanks in advance.
My C5Z has a wimpy 457 rwhp and I'm practicing throttle control as best I can, no way I can floor it in 1st gear.
I wish our cars had a traction control system like Mercedes Benz. Their big HP cars always run much quicker with the TC on. I read that Dodge limits the throttle to only 75% in 1st gear for their 420 hp SRT8 SUV. I've always wondered if that can be done to Vette's via tuning, in the meantime - like dennis50nj said...
Wow, this is interesting. It sounds better than the factory TC system. It can sample at a rate of .001 seconds. What rate does the GM TC sample at?
not sure on the GM sampling rate...but I have a customer in Austria running a blown Big Block Drag car on unprepped airfield/drag strips.
His car runs 7.20's on a prepped track
He is shooting for 8.50's on an unprepped surface.

Very Cool! He is going to use the Race Logic TC system?
I think that the problem is that most don't learn, nor take the time to understand there car! Launching a high horse powered car on the street takes skill and a lot of trial and error. You have to ask your self do you want a street car or a drag car. The set up is a lot different between the too. All I can say is learn your car, practice makes perfect.
