Default Best SC for LPE 403

If you were going to SC a LPE 403, what would be the BEST blower for the job - and preferably one that will give you tens of thousands of trouble free miles.

Thanx to all.

My suggestion is to talk to LPE ... because they would have upped the compression on your engine and that may need to change with a blower...

Check out the C5 FI section for all the info you will need:

The C5 and C6 are basically the same car.
(same engine and chassis platform)

with 1K,
ECS with upgraded head unit, if you go S/C, however you can't go wrong with any of the choices that are currently offered...

Thanx to all. 1k I appreciate your response. I live in So Cal, and therefore I'm considering the A+A kit as well. Between ECS and A+A, I'm curious as to which you think would be more optimal for my application.

I also realize this thread probably begs many questions, but I'm going back and forth between 1) Get a ZO6 and 2) Vert with LPE403 and blower. So if I go for choice 2, I need to know what is the best route before I plunk down that dolla'! Again many thanx to all.

I have heard mostly good about Andy and never heard a bad word about ECS.
I would go with a ECS,
but Andy definitely knows his stuff.
ECS and Andy are the ones that perfected the centrifugals for the Corvette.
You can't go wrong with a custom kit from either shop.

I would have ONLY ONE shop build and install the engine, install the FI system, and tune the combination.
Only one shop.
Only one responsible..

There is NO DOUBT that a centrifugal blower is awesome when combined with a low compression forged motor.
At the same time,
I would serioulsy consider a APS or TTi-X turbo.
I know Mr. Big said he would have went TT over the centrifugal if it was available when he modded his C6.

Something to think about.

Thanx again. I'd like to have LPE do the blower, but they only sell Maggies. And their TTs are way too expensive. I'll look into the APS, but I'm scared that more can go wrong with a TT set-up. The other thing is the blower will give me all the HP I need. Who in So Cal is reputable for installing an APS kit?

Again, I appreciate your advice - Iv'e taken some time to read through other posts by you and found them informative.

On the C6 ECS uses a smaller head unit because of clearance under the hood, compared to the C5, Nothing wrong with ECS as they are a top notch vendor and A&A also makes some strong kits with the Vortech setups and they can accomdate the larger head unit in the initial build if you are looking for Sick HP in that LPE 403, you can not go wrong with either blower setup

SVT - what do you have under the menacing looking hood of your car?

BTW, I have an 03 Cobra with a KB 2.2 at 17# putting down 590/530.
