Default Maggie Oil Change Info

This might be old news to some, but I couldn't find the information anywhere (including my instruction book and other maggie owners). I talked to a tech at Magnuson today about the oiling system for the maggie...this is what he said:

There is a black allen head plug at the rear between the pulleys...this is the oil fill/drain. You have to use a syringe to remove and refill. The supercharger holds 5.5 oz.....I don't know if you can remove all of it, so you better measure what you take out. I was told to buy "Supercharger Oil" from a GM Dealer (it is a synthetic). While some owners never change the oil, Magnuson recommends doing so every 6-10,000 miles. If anyone has additional info on this, pls reply.

Hope this helps.

I have had a gauge on mine (I did not mount one yet...I haven't found a mount that I like) it peaked about 6.9 lbs. I wonder if your bigger headers (1 7/8") and cats are producing lower boost #s. I also wonder if there is a difference in pulleys (are they both actually 3.2"? ...mine is not a Reichard). I know of 2 maggies with the stock 3.4" that are making 5-5.5 lbs. If you're at 5.5-6 lbs now, I would definitely go with a 2.9". That should put you at 7 lbs and over 500rwhp/480-490rwtq.
