Default NEW Product FEELER Post *** NEW GAUGE MOUNTING OPTION

Hi Guys,

I have been noticing many of you have been asking about different gauge mounting options and I have been listening considering many of you have been looking to me for this sort of thing. It just so happen to be that I got a call from one of my pod manufacturers asking me about a new idea for the C5/6 crowd.

If there was a steering column replacement pod with provisions for 2 2 1/16" gauges that wouldn't interfere with sight lines on the cluster or DIC. A mount that would almost put the gauges at a 10 and 2 o'clock position. If we build it, will you buy it? If there is a good response, I could be testing something in 6-8 weeks to show you guys what another mounting option would look like. Please post away on this because my associates are watching this thread carefully.

Thanks for you input.

Brian

Depending on the looks I would love to get the pillar mounts out of my way. I keep hitting them with my hand.

I would definitely be interested. Could you do a rough sketch to show what it would look like? Thanks.

I would like to see a sketch as well. My biggest fear would be bumping them with my legs if I'm picturing them correct. To be honest, my favorite mounting has been TurboToms. If there was a way to do that, and still keep the vents, I would be there!

I'd be a player, as long as it doesn't look too much like the '66 Mustang Pony Package.

Another option might be to put a free standing pod above the A/C vents in the center, similar to the "Cobra, WRX, etc" 2 5/8 gauges look good there. They could be "tilted" slightly toward the driver.

It would be visible all the time.

Something like this: (hack photoshop job)

I would love an option other than the A pillar. What do you have in mind for the steering wheel?

Who did this?

This is more like what I had in mind, but in it's own "dash pod"

Something like that molded and textured would be awesome!! Either in a 2 or 3 gauge option.

Brian, what are you thinking??
