Default LAPD Installing Fifth C6 APS TT Kit Now!!!!

Dear C6 owners,

We just started the install on another C6 APS TT. This car is a 2005 C6manual trans and with as much practice as we have had with the APS kits, the install is going very smooth. We are also installing an RPS clutch to handle the power that this C6 will be putting out. We will also be installing Wilwood's 6/4 big brake kit, KW shocks and Z51 sway bars.

Here are the pics of the install so far. If you have any questions on the APS TT kit for your C6, please feel free to contact us.

ENJOY!

Thanks!

Shawn

Thanks Peter! We will keep you guys posted on how this one goes. As far as the clutch goes, we are installing the same RPS clutch as we did on the first C6 ever to get the APS kit in the U.S. Remember? It was CMEPASU's C6. The clutch is awesome! Great clamping force and very streetable!

Thanks!

My god that was a quick "tear down". Good job! Car looks great on the install side.

Heh heh, ideas in action. That's awesome.

You just blew it, I almost had the wife talked into it until she saw your pics. "You are not tearing your brand new car into little bitty pieces" . Oh well, that just means waiting until it's not brand new I guess.

You actually don't have to do that much tearing apart...You don't tear anything apart for the turbo...all that tearing is for the sway bar! Just tell her your not changing the bar!

JJSC6,

Thanks for the compliments and it was really nice talking to you on the phone the other day. I just hope an APS TT kit makes it on your car soon!

DiverDown,

Too bad you showed the wife pictures of the install. When we are done with the car, you won't even know we tore it down as extensively as we did.

The clutch install is what makes it look like the car's guts are torn out, but it looks worse than it is. Doing just the APS kit isn't that bad and we only have to remove the front bumper and hood to install it completely.

Yes sir, that is correct!! Every clutch install we do involves this type of operation, but luckily for us, it's no big deal.

Thanks!

What kind of power have you seen on the 6 speeds.

Do you have any videos of the car running/revving after the install?

Thanks

Hammer,

The last 2005 C6 manual trans APS kit we did put down 563RWHP/567 RWTQ on 91 octane and 110 degrees outside when we tuned and dyno tested it.

If you conduct a search on the APS TT kit, you will see the posts with dyno videos and real world videos and driving clips.

I"d say thats one of the real benefits of using a shop with loads of Corvette experience and competent techs, all good.
