Hammer,

9 psi at WOT on the manual trans car with the upgraded clutch. On the A4 and A6 C6s, 6 psi at WOT to avoid blowing up the trannies.

Shwan ... do you have any new feedback from your recent installs as to how they are liking cars performance, driving habits and general satisfaction...especially if A6 is holding shifts ok and not bouncing off rev limit....etc.

C5 CU,

I personally drove both A6 cars and they feel great. Very solid feel to them and even when driven hard, they didn't bounce off the rev limiter. Both owners love their cars and both said how much it exceeded their expectations. They can't seem to stop driving their cars. They didn't think their cars were going to be as fast as they were. It is a world of difference when going from a stock C6 A6 to a twin turbo set-up.

What needs to be done to make the car louder? Turbo cars seem to be very quite.

Sportsdude,

On one of the '05 C6 cars, the owner kept his Borla Stingers and his car sound really nice and it isn't quiet and it isn't loud. It sounds just right. You can make them sound louder.

My car has B&B Rt 66's and I wouldn't call it quiet. You could always go to Bullets.

Steve Snake Driver,

The first ever APS TT to be installed in the U.S. by us had B&B Bullets with NO CATS as requested by the owner of the car and it was plenty LOUD!

Not me. I'd almost rather keep the stock exhaust and run electric cut outs. Quiet in normal driving, and unsuspecting to others.

Maybe the bullets will be the sound of what I'm looking for in a turbo application. I like mine really loud. I have Borla Stinger and it sounds pretty good with the Blower.

Shawn @ LAPD: Have you done an APS TT for a customer located in hot climate like NV or AZ? Just curious if upgraded radiator will be needed.

CMEPASU (or something close) is in NV.
I'm in Alabama, didn't see any large changes in temperature driving up from middle of Florida with stock radiator. Tracking the car would probably require a radiator change, but not so sure about just street use.

Sportsdude,

The first APS TT install we did on a C6 was for a resident of Las Vegas, NV. His car was completed at the end of this past June and he never reported high coolant temps and we never saw them here when it was 110 degrees out. The stock radiator seems to be doing a good job. A larger capacity radiator can be used if you wanted, but we haven't had the need to upgrade them so far as they have all run within a normal temperature range.

Shawn,

I had the chance to stop by the shop last nite, Al was around and gladly took the time to show me the progress on the current APS install...lookin great!!! I hear you guys are just waiting for the Wilwood kit to arrive for install. Also, looked like you had an empty rack available, hummmm....maybe my car is destined for a TT.

Have a great weekend, talk to you soon!

Brabus2,

I am glad you got to see the progress of our fifth APS TT install. You must have gotten there right after I left. Sorry, I missed you. I always enjoy talking to you. The Wilwood kit should arrive anyday and this car will be running very shortly.

Yes, we always keep an empty lift for quick exhaust installs, oil changes, etc. We definitely don't have a shortage of Vettes to work on. I think we are working on about 10 cars at the same time right now! If you want to go APS TT, just give us the green light and we will transform your car to above and beyond your highest expectations!

Thanks!

Shawn

Shawn, what modifications are required to achieve 650RWHP from APS TT? Forged engine? different cam? Will $15K be enough? I have about 500 on my SC setup now and it's feeling a bit slow now. Thank you

I rode in CMEPASU's old car the new owner ran it from 60-175 5 times one afternoon... even with that abuse coolant temps were 200-220.

650RWHP is what I'm after as well. I'd like to know what is needed for this kind of HP.
