I had my best deal "all worked out" for $2500 under MSRP out of a "internet sales manager" in Atlanta (in writing via email...willing to give me a nice deal because I was active duty Navy officer) and when it came time for him to send me the agreement... oops, just checked the computer, so sorry, our dealership just ran out of allocations...would you like to get on the list for Spring or beyond?
I don't know if this is a "bait and swindle" technique that is used by dealers, or just someone who should know better talking out of his "you know what" or just simply lying or uninformed about his business...but it is so frustrating! Maybe he *really* didn't know... one thing is certain...I'll never know, and I don't have a C6!!!
Dealers: PM me if you have allocations left and your willing to go at least $1500 under MSRP!
(You can offer $2500 under MSRP if you want to give me an "active duty military" discount AND Hurricane Ivan Medical Provider discount! )
I'm taking prices and names from those dealers with RIGHT NOW allocations who can PM me an agreement (PDF file or WORD document),
If you need, fill out the agreement form with the information below and your prices, including bottom-line totals.
The best offer gets a signature and an immediate deposit (the car is to be immediately ordered once all constrained items (Victory Red and 1SA) are lifted):
(full name & address edited for security purpose on 27SEP04 2131Hrs)
$1000 refundable deposit and no trade-in
No tax/registration (unless dealer in Florida)
No junk fees (No tire/battery disposal fees, No processing fees)
JUST A CLEAN CONTRACT.
Local courtesy delivery to be arranged.

I'm tired of *****-footing around with my particular Chevy dealers with no allocations but promise C6's in the future via crystal ball or at hyped-up "sucker" prices.
Dealers, if you PM me a deal, you will also get my pager number (877 toll free) and I also will be able to talk to you during a break in my day...
Thank you for listening!
And remember to PM me your deal (don't PM if it is MSRP... thank you...)
(KTCHEV don't take this thread personally... your particular post just reminded me of all the frustrations I'm going through trying to be a cost-conscious consumer and get as good a deal as anybody else on this forum and still get a C6 in reasonable time (just like the others))
As a way of thanking you, I will try to get a picture with the very car you sold me parked next to a Blue Angels F/A-18 or similar Navy fighter jet which will be suitable for framing above your sales desk...it will be a great conversation starter for future sales talks with customers!

Yes... I was a bit surprised when he told me he had no allocation and "go to one of my competitors"... Maxie Price is just ten miles down the road!!! He *could* have kept stringing me out for months...

Will you share the results of your C6 cost comparisons?
BTW, I just saw one up close for the first time at a local dealership in Tysons Corner, VA today. It looked great! Although, there was a 5K mark-up over MSRP

Well, at least we'll get $750 off MSRP for our services. If someone offered me $1000 below MSRP and I get $750 off on top of that, that's $1,750 below, so I'd be happy with that.

Military Discount
Marvin,
First thanks for your service!! Next too bad this discount does not take into account those of us who also served and retired. Or did I read your post wrong and this does apply to retired personnel.

CHALLENGE COMPLETE!
Ron Pauley was the most helpful and persistent (in a good way) saleperson to help me out, and, of course, had the best bottom line deal on a current allocation order through a Chevy dealer in the midwest. I will opt for the local "courtesy delivery" here in Pensacola which he will arrange as well. The dealer ordered the car already, and I have faxed back the purchase agreement with a copy of my military ID for the current chevy offer for an additional $500 off.
My thanks to all of the MANY dealers who PM'd, FedEx'd packages/offers (Probably about seven total). You were all wonderful to work with and like the "Survivor" TV show... there can only be one final winner.
