I don't know if this is a "bait and swindle" technique that is used by dealers, or just someone who should know better talking out of his "you know what" or just simply lying or uninformed about his business...but it is so frustrating! Maybe he *really* didn't know... one thing is certain...I'll never know, and I don't have a C6!!!

Dealers: PM me if you have allocations left and your willing to go at least $1500 under MSRP!

Be happy that at least the dealer was honest to tell you he had no allocation. Too many times people get jerked around for months only to discover that the dealer knew right from the start that there was no allocation available.

Yes... I was a bit surprised when he told me he had no allocation and "go to one of my competitors"... Maxie Price is just ten miles down the road!!! He *could* have kept stringing me out for months...

It is my honor to serve in uniform and as a doctor, help those who are veterans, and in times of trouble, like Hurricane Ivan, help those displaced/hurt by the storm. The devastation to property and bodies is incredible!

Will you share the results of your C6 cost comparisons?

BTW, I just saw one up close for the first time at a local dealership in Tysons Corner, VA today. It looked great! Although, there was a 5K mark-up over MSRP

Well, at least we'll get $750 off MSRP for our services. If someone offered me $1000 below MSRP and I get $750 off on top of that, that's $1,750 below, so I'd be happy with that.

CHALLENGE COMPLETE!

Ron Pauley was the most helpful and persistent (in a good way) saleperson to help me out, and, of course, had the best bottom line deal on a current allocation order through a Chevy dealer in the midwest. I will opt for the local "courtesy delivery" here in Pensacola which he will arrange as well. The dealer ordered the car already, and I have faxed back the purchase agreement with a copy of my military ID for the current chevy offer for an additional $500 off.

My thanks to all of the MANY dealers who PM'd, FedEx'd packages/offers (Probably about seven total). You were all wonderful to work with and like the "Survivor" TV show... there can only be one final winner.
