Found this on Hemmings auctions and it has already met reserve at $30,500. Looks like a super nice low mile car with heads done and light mods. I’m not affiliated with seller.

Thats where these cars should be, in the 30's, not 40's and 50's. Hopefully, the market is correcting itself.

I have bought two Vettes off this site before it was sold out and became what it is today. Now I just get on here and laugh at the overpriced vehicles that some poor sap won’t be able to unload because he paid $42,000 for a car that’s not worth $30,000.

They’re all over the internet for closer to the correct price. They’re just overpriced on CF.com because no one is allowed to tell sellers their asking price is plain stupid. The unpaid foot soldiers (“moderators”) shut the post down and threaten you with a ban for “interference of a sell”.

Case in point - this in many ways is one of my dream cars, a C6 GS, 3LT with low miles.
Seven weeks ago, a very clean one was bid to $29.5 on C&B Cars & Bids - 2011 GS w/33k
Last week, the same car was bid up to $29k on BAT Bring a Trailer - 2011 GS w/33k
BAT has a wider audience and should garner a slightly higher number, but instead, six weeks later, it was even less. Time of year, higher interest rates, boomer economic fears, are all pushing the market down, but sellers are, for the most part, refusing to acknowledge. Don't sell if you still want to keep your car, but if you sincerely want to sell (or worse, need to sell) use some data driven valuation tools and then price your car in that range. Otherwise, enjoy your beautiful automotive but know that, like how most of us feel about our kids, it's probably not as special as you think it is.

Think the buyer got very lucky. This car should have been 50k. Market is soft but not crashing and will never crash for LS7 cars going forward. They won’t ever make em like this anymore, low inventory, and inflation is here to stay. 50k is the new 30k.

GM made 215,223 C6 Corvette's, including more than 28,000 Grand Sports - there is not a scarcity issue with the C6.
The market for every used car went crazy when (1) interest rates were incredibly low (borrowing money was almost free), (2) supply chain issues created a massive shortage in the new car market, making used Corvette prices balloon, and (3) the government pumped $790 billion into the economy thru PPP loans. Now, interest rates are 3x to 5x what they were at their lowest, car dealership lots are full of cars they can't sell, and inflation for many things is a reality.
While inflation has made everyday items more expensive, but I'm paying less than $3/gallon for gas (and it's less than $2/gallon in parts of TX), and inflation hasn't made a used Camry nearly twice as expensive as it was a few years ago.
Bottom line: price your used Vette wherever you'd like, but don't expect it to sell anytime soon. Dealerships are paying carrying costs on their inventory, and summer is a ways away. KBB and Hagerty are informing the public on what cars are worth, not what the owner thinks it's worth. And in the end, time will tell. For now, I know I've worked too hard to buy someone else's bubble.

He argued that KBB and NADA are only applicable for buying a car at a dealership. He’s obviously very new to selling vehicles. He never wrote back and my offer has since expired. His loss IMHO. Very soon the value of C6 Z06s will be back down in the upper 20k to lower 30k range where they belong.

Your right …This forum is very strict when it comes to having an opinion on peoples for sale adds…I was actually banned twice …The second time was six months …
Im sixty years old and have owned a few nice corvettes and have followed pricing trends for the past twenty five years ..
The adds I did comment on , not criticize , the ( forum police ) were not happy..I believe I did try to email them saying there not criticisms just opinions but they were not having it ..

I'm not waiting for dealers to move as much as I am for private sellers to catch a clue. They're relying on sales numbers from the height of summer 6 to 18 months ago, instead of what the market says is the number now.

Chip shortage , Supply issues , lack of traveling who knows ? Why would it pump up the prices of a lot of corvettes? There basically toys …I don’t know anyone who uses a vette as a daily ..
People we’re spending money like crazy on these cars ….It’s true when you see cars priced in the low to mid 30”s for a good amount of time and then all of a sudden there mid to high 40”s you know something is up ……Funny thing is though , they were selling and selling fast …
My C4 modified ZR1 I sold in April of 21 for $21,500..That same car ballooned to over 30K a year later and still they are high …Previously to that these cars were a hard sale …Mid to high teens were the norm ..Can’t find anyone to work on them , look too much like a regular C4….What changed ?
What, now everyone works on them ? They look different from the regular C4 ?
I have an 07 Z06 and prices are still high on these ..At least asking prices ..Don’t know if there selling but it’s true a lot of people are just fed up with inflation and being more of a smarter shopper today ..
