Default WTT: 2005 MR2 Spyder with Hardtop for 06+ C6

This might be a long shot, but maybe a member is looking for a smaller toy.

2005 Toyota MR-2 Spyder (last production year. Only 780 total brought to US, and about 20 in this color/option combo)
Silver with Black Interior
All available factory options (Leather Interior and Limited Slip Differential)
31,xxx miles
5 Speed Manual Transmission

Upgrades:

OEM Hardtop (not available as a factory option in the US. Costs approximately $2700 to get one in mint condition from the UK)
PPE Cold Air Intake, Header, and Mid Pipe with catalytic converter. Header and Mid Pipe have custom black ceramic coating.
Hayward & Scott hand built stainless steel cat back exhaust with Lotus style center exit tips
TTE Style Chassis X Brace
JDM Badges and Center Caps
TRD Quick Shift Kit
Tanabe Sway Bars (front and rear)
Key Hole and front license plate covers

Recent Maintenance:

Optima Battery at 24k Miles
Full Fluid Flush at 24k Miles
Front Struts at 24k Miles
Tires (all four) at 25k miles
Oil Change at 26k miles
Oil Change at 30k miles
Redline MT90 Transaxle Oil at 31k miles

Other Good Info:

Clean Carfax/All VIN tags in place/Zero negative history
Garage kept its entire life (most of which was in Texas)
Needs nothing and is in excellent condition
All maintenance records since new, original window sticker, OEM books, and 3 sets of keys are included

The Bad:

One rock chip (1/16” x 1/4”) on the frunk lid
Couple scratches/curb marks on rear passenger side wheel (other 3 are mint)

I’m asking $16,000 with everything or $14,500 without the hardtop. Both prices are firm. I'd consider trade with cash on top for the following C6:

- 06+
- Manual
- Blue, Silver, or Black (no red or yellow)
- No convertibles
- Open on option packages

I would also consider trades for a first generation CTS-V or STS-V. I'm located in Cincinnati, OH. If you have any questions, give me a call or text at (513) 324 – zero five nine nine.

Thanks!

Thank you sir! The hardtop really does change the look of the car. Plus it improves the car's performance in every way. The chassis is stiffer, road noise is reduced, and it gives you more headroom.

No rain or snow exposure. It's been garaged its entire life, most of which was in Texas.

Have you considered a C5? its going to be a very long shot for a C6 in that price range.

I fully expect to add cash on top for a C6 trade, and have no interest in a C5.

My apologies if adding cash on top of the Spyder wasn't clear in the original post.

Thanks!

You're going to be better off selling it outright and then looking for your c6. I don't see why anyone in their right mind would want to trade down to your car. I'm not trying to be insulting, just being a realist here. Corvette's are already small and have a much more appealing performance envelope.

I traded my wife's MR2 for my 013 base 3 years ago. The wife wasn't too happy, but I certainly was. if you can't make a deal here on the forum, trade it in like I did. Glws

No offense taken at all, since I completely agree. I realize it will be easier to sell than trade, which is why I have it listed on multiple outlets. However, it's easy to also post a trade ad on here, so I did in case there is someone that wants or needs to trade down.

Good news is I have a sale pending, and will likely be on the hunt to purchase a C6 this time next week.

Thanks! Hopefully she came around after seeing how much fun you both have in the '13.

She did eventually, but I no longer have the 013. I traded that car for a 012 GS CE.
