I did sell my Z to a private party. Frankly, it was a combination of aggressive pricing and proximity. My buyer who lives in Maryland had been looking at '08 Z priced in the $39-40K range. BTW there are some nice cars available at that price and, of course, there are Z's out there priced unrealistically.

While mine was more expensive, I lived within an hour and a half drive. Maryland has some very stringent requirements for private sales, particularly if a buyer is financing the car. So, I invested a day and sold a great car to a very satisfied buyer. That's the way it should end.
