Interested. Original panels? Have the original trans? Dz block, heads probably 10k, so I value your car between 25-30k, IF it's mint. Do you have pictures of the restoration? Floor pan and underneath pictures?

I have a 2009 z. Cyber grey, black, 7k miles, New Michelins. Title in hand. Are you looking to put 25k cash with car? Of course if it was original it would be a straight trade.

Power steering? Did the z/28 have PS? I really don't think so???

Also - the tach shows a redline of 6K. I haven't done any research, but I'm pretty sure the 302 had a much higher redline than 6K?????

He bought it on a chevy dealers used car lot in 70.

Beautiful car. I'd a C5 50th anniv., don't mean to offend anybody, but I'd never trade a first gen camaro for a vette or anything else. I just finished restoring my 68 SS Camaro and I'll keep it for as long as I can. You've a nice Z28, only bummer is the engine. You can pick up one for around $8K and you're good to go :-) Yeah, and put back the original tranny :-)

Z28 really? Rebadged SS or RS maybe? Very nice Camaro though, that's for sure.

No, unless the VIN tag was changed from another car X33 means (X33 - Style Trim Group with Special Performance Equipment (Z28) from the Vin tag decoder site http://www.chevy-camaro.com/chevy-ca...ecode-1969.asp To bad someone changed all the expensive stuff out.

Good info Dave! And as someone else said above, 302's and Rock Crushers are hard to come by; getting more and more rare. At least they put a period correct motor in there and not an LS series like a lot of guys are doing now. That Z28 is pretty much what I've been eyeballing too.
