its all about the care and regular maitnence.

i have a customer with a 07 with almost 180,000 on it runs like a champ. even with heads/ cam combo. once a year every fluid gets chagned and oil on regular 3k mile interval.

my wifes tahoe 5.3L but same LS family of engiens has 250K+ miles alternator and waterpump are only thigns its ever nedded other than standard wear items.

How much is it lowered over stock? Is it still reasonably quiet with the NPP valves closed? Is there any drone going down the freeway?

its lowered about 1" from stock but can be raised to any height you wish in 20mins. (and realigned on our alignment machince) its quite in the car with the valves open. i put layers of dynamat everywhere possible in the entire interior. inside the doors, under the carpet, the entire cargo area, everywhere then added a sound deadner kit of two layers of some kinda foam. its way quieter than stock with the valves closed. no drone at all.

No, I'm actually quite cool with drone...but if I have any chance of getting my wife to take trips with me that would be a deal breaker :-/ I'd personally rather have quite a raucous exhaust note!

Thats cool: I have cam,headers,tune & Borla Stringers and i love the sound cruzing the freeway at 80mph.I'm 71,so I'm sure i have lost some of my hearing,anyway that is a great deal on his vette....
