07 Z06 11K miles, WCCH heads, leather and alcantara interior, Alabama
SOLD
Highlights:
11K miles (still smells new)
WCCH stage 2 heads
Beautiful leather and alcantara interior
It has every option available to a Z06 in 2007 (2LZ with navigation and polished wheels), it has never been raced or abused, I keep the RPM below 3K until the oil has reached the proper temperature. It still has a new car smell, and other than the inevitable, albeit tiny, rock chip the exterior is like new.
Unlike many Z06's on the market that have passed through the hands of 5-6 owners this beauty has only seen two. I purchased the car with only 3,800 miles from the original owner who was a retired gentleman that lovingly cared for it. I have all the original books, manuals, navigation CD's, even the window sticker.
I have at great expense modified the car to address the main reliability issue with the Z06 which is the valve train. I also spent a considerable amount to tastefully modify the interior to make it more befitting of a car of this caliber.
Reliability:
If you are looking for a Z06 then you should be already be aware of the valve issue. With less than 8,000 miles on the car I decided instead of worrying about it I would take the pro-active approach and have Vengeance Racing install West Coast Cylinder Heads (WCCH) stage II LS7 heads. I also had Vengeance also install dual valve springs with Ti retainers (so if you want to do a cam it's ready), a Halltech Killer bee CAI, and tune it.
The results were a peak increase of 44 horsepower and 35 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. The peak numbers don't tell the whole story, it's the area under the curve that show the extra power throughout the rev range. Most importantly though is the knowledge that the car now has a solid and reliable valve train. The car made 489/453 at the wheels in August with 103* temps in the dyno room. Vengeance all but guaranteed it would be 510ish at the wheels if it were just 10-15* cooler. For safety when IAT's are above 100* their tunes run the same very rich stock fuel table.
Interior:
The other issue I had to address was the interior. The stock plastic interior just was not befitting a car of this caliber. I had the door panels, center console, armrest, rear console, airbag, and side gauge pods covered in leather and alcantara. I replaced the steering wheel, shift ****/boot, and parking brake with alcantara items from a 2013 Corvette. The car is now as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
Other notable items:
Near new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
MGW short throw shifter
OEM ZR1 spoiler
Exhaust switch installed in the factory cigarette lighter location. This switch controls the factory NPP exhaust, so you can choose if you want it loud or quiet. (This is my wife's favorite mod)
JL audio 3.5" door speakers to replace the terrible factory mid/tweeter combo.
And what Corvette would be complete without a set Lloyds floor mats and hatch mat?
The mileage is currently a tick over 11K and I do drive it so it will go up slightly.
I'm only willing to let it go because my wife will be needing a new daily driver soon and my W210 E55 daily driver / baby seat car is getting to the point of questionable reliability and perhaps repairs beyond its value.
I'm asking $47,500 and I'm pretty firm considering the amount of money I've put into making it reliable and on the interior.

I have been following your car on craigslist for the past week. Your car is exactly what I'm looking for, except that it's red. Still a beautiful color, but my last Corvette was red and I'm looking for a different color this time. Great car! Won't last long.
Cheers

That interior is BEAUTIFUL and I'm certain the pictures do not do it justice. I have a similar interior in my 2004 Z06 and I get compliments every time anyone with a stock interior sees it. Low mileage, tasteful mods, plenty of horsepower with room for more, and a reasonable price. I only wish I was in the market to buy. It should sell soon, if not, I will be shopping in about a year.

Thank you
Thanks.
With a few exceptions I'm not overly picky with color but just like you red wasn't my first choice because my C5Z was red and I wanted something different, but when I saw it in person I was sold.
It does look (and smell) better in person. It is such an improvement over stock, you actually feel like you are driving a car that cost $80K.
Thanks,
