How much do they want for it? If it's priced right, I would not be afraid of it. So it was stolen - what did they have to do to make it right? What did the insurance company pay to get fixed?

Looks like it got about 80 miles put on it while in the hands of someone. That does not mean the car shouldn't be bought.

If it was fixed right and is priced right.

I wouldn't necessarily be afraid of it. But I would go into it with my eyes WIDE open!

Yikes, stolen just a couple days after owning it. That's some bad luck.

What's scary is that the initial Carfax summary page is all GREEN, with "Guaranteed" everywhere.

It was stolen the same day it was delivered to the dealer. Do you think the guy who stole it broke it in properly?...... Could have been stolen for just the wheels and tires, who knows? Still seems to have led an unusual life. Seems as if it was never owned by a real owner as it was always listed as a corporate fleet vehicle. That sometimes indicates that the 3001 miles where hard miles as the drivers were not owners. Carfax says estimated length of ownership is "12 days".

The dealer is asking $58k for it. That is too high for a car with a theft and recovery showing in it's history.

Just Google the VIN # 1G1YT3DW2C5107626 and you will get a link to the listing.

AutoCheck also reports the same theft record.

So would the thief be considered the first owner?

In this case it's apparent that the guy broke it in by driving driving it like he stole it.

Oh and the dealer asking price? They're smoking the good stuff.

Hmm.. well, $58K is FAR from being 'priced right' given the history.

Ridiculous.

2012 Grand Sport? Blemished car fax with 3000 miles? Well considering I'd pay 42k for one with a clean history and mods, Id price this one at about 30k, but that's me and I buy on the lowest end of the spectrum. 58k is comical.

"fair price" IF this car is 100% functional and no visible damages I'd say is about 37k.

I'd totally agree. Not sure I'd buy the car at $37 even if it had no real damage during the theft. Still black marks n the title. Imagine offering them 21k under their asking price though. Car will simply sit for awhile until reality sets in.

Sad part is someone will buy without checking the cars history. Dealership is banking on that.

Too many nice cars out there without the CarFax baggage, look around some more.
