Silver is clearly the fastest color
Thanks, Spartan, I get more comments on the Zed than any of my other cars. Almost as many as the Lambo!

TXzed is a friend & neighbor. I wouldn't hesitate to take him at his word. Bump for a great deal that shouldn't last long.

Thank you for the kind words, sir! I have a local buyer coming to see the car in a few minutes. Part of me wishes he doesn't show up!

The problem is I will leave the car in storage for a couple weeks (with a full tank, of course) and decide I should sell her. Then I make the mistake of driving her and think "Im NEVER selling this AMAZING car!"

I drove her to work this morning and had all those same feelings, again!

"I don't REALLY need to sell her."
"I have other sources of capital."
"I should sell one of the other cars, first!"
"The ride is simply INCREDIBLE!"
"I just rolled by that guy - without coming out of 6th!"
"Best brakes - EVER!"

The list just goes on and on!

Aaaaaarrgh!

I feel you pain. Just sold my new GS Vert to fund a business related activity.

WHAT AN AWESOME car! I wish I could afford to make you an offer.

That's a fact. Beautiful beast of a car, and very, very fast. Thanks for the ride, Zed man. Made my day.

Oh great! Now that I complimented your car above, I'm asking myself why I need a C7 if I can get this instead. Decisions, decisions. Again, that car is absolutely stunning!!!
I think I'm starting to hate you. LOL

Jeff,

That is my case to anyone who wants the new C7: The ACTUAL out the door price with a full options count (given it's not a special edition, you're gonna want everything!) will be within a couple thousand dollars of a clean, used ZR1.

The reviews of the Zed Sled are comically short: Record 1/4 mile time, record 0-100 time, record braking distance, record slalom time, record skid pad numbers. All the youtube videos of comparisons against other cars are simply funny. The corvette ZR1 destroys all comers, including Vipers! The top drivers review the car the same way; incredible levels of performance surprising within reach of the driver. All that with a 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty! Are you kidding me !?!?

As far as my car is concerned, I have had ZERO issues with it. Not even the dreaded slave cylinder for the clutch. The ONLY maintenance I've done on my car is ONE oil change, check the air pressure and fluid levels, and wash it! Almost 7000 miles in one year (apparently a high mileage user in this group) and not a single hiccup. More miles without problems or expenses in the last year than my Ford pickup!

Maybe I should keep this ole girl, after all! (music: 'His truth is marching oooooon!)

The only advantage of a new C7 would be new car and warranty. But this car would be my choice overall. TTT

Thanks for the bump AND kind words. Although I have heard of people having problems with their ZR1's, I personally have had no problems with mine.

Usually, if a car is going to have problems, it will likely happen in the first 10k. After that, it's a simple matter of maintenance. Compared to the maintenance of other vehicles of this level of performance, the ZR1's maintenance is practically free!
