Another craig"s list scam
All you guys know I've been looking for a Z for months and finally found one. That being said, take it from me, if it sounds to good to be true, it is. This Red Z listed here in the Phoenix area is a scam. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/cto/3941744088.html It doesn't even have a AZ. area code (406) is from MT. Phoenix is in the desert. The area where the pictures are taken don't look like there from around here at all. I tried to go look at it several times but after I talked with the guy about it the first time and said I want to come over, he never called me back or answered my calls. Just a warning to all my brothers.

Yea, dam guys. No not really. Got it from another Z06 brother on the forum. Perfect, black with $14K miles out of CA. Fly out Tuesday and meet them and drive it home, 350 miles of fun.

I checked the vin on one on craiglist yeasterday. Looked good. Then when I googled the vin the car that really had that Vin # was for sale on a lot. Different car as it had different seats than the one pictured on craigslist. When I asked if the vin was correct, no more contact with the "seller"

cars.com and autotrader you have to pay for with a CC leaves to money trail to the person who posted it and most thieves are looking for a quick buck.
as a seller however i have been contacted by several people who are not legitimate buyers. but i don't think as a buyer you will have many problems with the legitimacy of the ad.
not true of ever ad but its just a lot more work to list something that doesn't belong to you. and how do you plan to receive the money? as a rule i wouldn't make payment arrangements in any form other than wire transfer to a bank. leaves a pretty easy to trace trail.

Are you looking for a steal or something? You are having a hell of a hard time finding a z06 and there are a ton for sale. Just buy one that is going for bluebook price and save yourself a lot of pain and suffering

Hey that's the one I just bought! Now he's selling it for half as much in a different State. I got screwed again No, seriously now. The guys right. If you want a nice Z06 your going to have to pay for it. There are no $20K Z06's. Even the Salvage title guys want more than that. And all the scam guys aren't named Dave, some go by Steve,
John and mostly Dick Got a good deal but not for $20k.
