Yes. There is a 1 year warranty from GM on the new engine. Plus, the GMPP warranty covers the entire car through Sept 2015.

Given your honesty thus far. Has the car been raced and driven hard? I ask because it had an engine replacement and required new tires and brake pads at relatively low miles. I have some interest but also some concern.

I have participated in Porsche Club HPDEs. However, I consider this as driving the car in an event for which it was designed. I've always warmed the oil up before using WOT, never done burn outs or dropped the clutch, and never done a race or a TT. Brakes and tires are consumables, which wear faster during performance driving as expected. The 2006-2008 Z's had the smaller oil tank design, which I believe is related to the reason the engine failed. GM corrected that problem in 2009+ cars, and so did I by installing the larger tank.

2006 ZO6 for sale - victory red. $42,500. 2LZ package (HUD, seat memory, telescoping steering wheel, etc.), polished wheels, Nav, XM. The car has always been garaged, and well cared for. I am the second owner. The car has not been my daily driver. No accidents. Very few small rock pecks. Excellent condition. All maintenance history is available. I have both keys, cargo shield, package net, and all documentation.
Pics:
- Currently has only 9400 miles on odometer. Purchased from a collector in December 2011 with 2200 miles.
- GMPP Major Guard warranty was extended in September 2012 for 3 years, so the car is covered by a bumper to bumper warranty until September 2015. The warranty is transferrable to a new owner for a small transfer fee ($50 I believe).
- New 2012 LS7 long block installed October 2012 - previous engine had a main crank bearing fail which damaged the block - replace under warranty by local Chevy dealer. Engine replace at 6400 miles, so only 2800 miles on the new engine. New engine was broken in carefully. I have all of the codes, build dates, etc. for original and new engine.
- Modifications:
- Lingenfelter oil tank - this is the stock lower oil tank with an added section to increase the oil system capacity to 11 quarts.
- Aviaid oil tank insert. Used to prevent oil starvation.
- Car purchased with Mild to Wild switch in console. Essentially opens the fuse circuit, causing the exhaust to be fully open all the time when the switch is open. Exhaust operated normally with the switch closed.
- Recently replaced front brake pads & 4 tires. Tires are standard size Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Brake pads are GM factory pads.

I don't know the seller but live in Memphis. If anyone from out of town is interested and wants a third party to look at it feel free to ask. Just wanting to help out if I can.
