To good to be true usually turns out to be exactly that. Have you run a GMVIS and either a CarFax or AutoCheck report on it to see if it matches up with what you have been told?

Is this a car that you have bought or are thinking about buying?

If the address is for real it is a pretty nice upscale area and looks like a nice home, I have looked at a couple of vettes myself in that area 2-3 years ago. It is only a few minutes from either the Phoenix or the Mesa airport so might be a good idea to fly in and take a look yourself and drive it back if it checks out.

I will definitely flight there but I am hoping to find a member friend that could help with a quick drive by and check it out for me.

Again I could pay you 150 bucks for a 5 minutes inspection.

I live in Tucson about 100 miles South of there. I have bought and sold around 25 vettes but the last time I bought a coupe was in 1984 and do not know enough about Z06's to really know what to look for, now if it was a convert that is my area.

Did the GMVIS report check with what they told you about the car? Is he the original owner? I never buy a vette that doesn't have a complete verifiable history and isn't being sold by the original owner. If anything appears to not match with what you were told or you cannot verify the cars history from new I always walk away from them. It is just not worth taking a chance and especially with a model that pretty much is only about performance.

Everything checks out so far but something feel weird.

The main reason that call my attention is that the buyer is deaf so I could only talk to him on email or text.

Sounds fishy because they now have phones that allow deaf to communicate via a phone with a screen that translates what you say into words on their end and you would think there would be someone else at the home that you could talk too.

How did you find this car?

If you go to Google maps for street view you will be able to see the house at the address you gave. Have them take a new photo of the car parked in the driveway of their home and send it to you and see if it matches.

Yea I dated a girl a while back that knew sign language. You would call up her office if deaf and talk to her in sign and she would then relay the messages between both of you.

PS thanks for the PM but a trip from Tucson to Mesa is not in the books this week. If I had a reason to head up there I would do it though with wife/kid/job I have no time man.
