there's actually one c5z on ebay now that sounds like a good driver.

also a no reserve so it should close reasonable

just be patient OP you'll find one. more and more are coming up for sale lately and getting very reasonable . ive seen numerous c6z's in the mid to low 30k $ range now and i can only imagine whats going to happen when the new C7 is released .

But it's not even available to drive and there's already been a drop. It dropped further with the ability to preorder. It will likely drop further with the release, once dealerships stop charging idiotically-high surcharges.

It's idiots like these:

$23,000 for his 78,000 mile C5.

Why does he have to be an idiot? Every car dealer in America does what he is doing and people buy cars every day. I submit the real idiots are the buyers that pay the crazy prices!! Why not mark it up and bargain from there? If he listed it for 15k there's no wiggle room. Don't be so quick to judge.

i have to agree here. the biggest idiots are the people paying 20+k for a 14-15k car
we have had two 2002 z06's both in the 60s for mileage and both sell in the 16s in my areas. nice clean garaged driver cars. at the same time folks asking 24k for the same car might be thinking it gives them room, but, personally speaking, most the time i just never contact them.
if someone said my bottom line is 16.5k i would be like alright, let's go over the car and price would never be discussed more as they know the value of what they have.

Hello all! What a great read this thread has been - I have just started looking for a 2006 C6 and am really surprised at the variation in asking price! It really is hard to figure what is a "value" deal!
Around here, there has recently been a 2006 C6 (red) with about 60,000 km (37k miles) for $34,000.

keep in mind 60,000 KM, so 37k miles. I haven't been able to find anything less than $25,000 but those have more than 150,000 KM (96,000 MILES).
My only option I think is to buy one south of the border. I was hoping to do a trade though up here.
