Yup. Also has a jl audio sub in a custom box and an alpine amp. No chips on the paint and the front air dam is in perfect shape along with side scoop. Carbon fiber hood. Lg motorsports exhuast.

Someone who had it replaced a ton of stuff and brought it back to newish condition.

Guy bought it from a dealer auction in the San Antonio area.

Was it a flood car? Salvaged title? I'd be checking under the dash & carpets.

Why would someone replace a plastic front spoiler and plastic side scoops because it was flooded?

Dealer took it for trade and couldn't sell it because of mods

That statement was a bit ambiguous. Don't get offended.

Even has a power passenger seat.

Whoever had it modded it perfectly and either kept it very well or freshened it up significantly.

Deals are out there. Don't expect a perfect car for 30k but don't pay 40k for used beat up car either.

Op found one yet? Z in my opinion will take a slight hit but not a lot when c7 comes out because it is a different car. More raw and on edge. Also it will still out perform c7. So price will never fall dramatically. You will have pay fair amount of money. Steal will be hard to find. Depending on the seller. Got to pay to play.

And no I have not found a car yet. About to check my pm's and see. Been busy this past week, have not been on here. Just to respond to future posts - I might take a lifetime finding this 5th vette if I please. So don't get your panties in a wad

Thanks everyone for the help with locating a car. Unfortunately, I could not convince my wife that a Z06 was a practical and inexpensive transportation option for me. So instead I bought a new 2013 GT500. For some reason the extra 20k for a back seat didn't bother her. I live the look of the new C7 and when they replace the c6 base with a Z06 killer (and is will be). I will come back and look at a new c7 z replacement or maybe a used track toy. Anyway good luck with the hunt. My advice dump the C6 now if you are going to trade unless you get a tax advantage on trade cause I see the prices of the coming down soon. Same thing will happen to my Shelby when the 2015 hits.
Thanks again

Carmax in Irvine, CA just listed a 2008 cooskey limited edition, 14k miles for $45.5. A pretty decent deal for that combo and mileage.

I test drove the above car (Cooksey limited edition in Irvine) yesterday.

It looks great, both outside and inside, and it drives great.

I don't like that color combo, but perhaps the above info is helpful for someone who is interested.

Glad to hear it's in good shape - I was wondering why someone would trade that car into Carmax of all places (and the front grill screen made me wonder). Personally the color combo is one of my all-time fav's. I just won't pay the "limited" premium on a car that isn't really all that limited relative to other years' production.

Thank goodness I'm 2,000 miles away so I can't test drive it - but that's the first one that I've seen reasonably priced in a while. There are other LE's with literally twice the mileage being listed $4K higher (admittedly, not selling); and a 7K mile car listed at $10K higher from a dealer in IL.

Hopefully a sign of things to come - I'd like to have a low mile Cooskey if the "Recovery" ever actually happens.

Won't Carmax ship to one of their local to you outlets for a small fee?

Yes. I think the cost depends on location. I believe if you buy the car they give you credit toward purchase. Pay a shop to check it out then ask the local Carmax to ship it. They reinspected and detailed the Shelby I drove after it arrived.

I might have to ask then... if the fee is small enough, maybe I'll have them ship it to Ohio for ***** and giggles.

That explains why the one for sale here on the forum for 50k and now reduced to 48K has been for sale since November

45.5 is a nice deal.....one of my favorite color combos, too
