Looked at a new 2013 GS coupe, crystal red, 3lt, chrome wheels, dual mode exhaust, sel.ride, msrp.$68805, offered to me $61500. $9k down & $800 mo. 39 mo lease 10k miles per year. I walked away thinking I can do better, still looking.

You might wait until it gets closer to the release of the 2014's. Back when the 2005's came out, GM did rebates that were $9,000 - $11,000 off sticker for the 2004's.

2014s aren't coming out till September. Find one at least $10k off. If you own another one you can add on $3k

Not the best deal. Considering I picked up a 2013 GS that had a MSRP of close to 69k as well and I got it way less than 61k, you did the right thing by waking away.

I forgot to mention on your "10,000 miles a year". I don't know about leasing vehicles, cuz I've never done it, but I hear that's a horrible thing to do.

Not the best deal. I actually found a GS I almost bought a year ago. It was a 10 month old car/GS. It was white with the two tone red black interior, six speed, nav, and chrome wheels. It was selling at 53. I almost bought it but wanted a z instead.

Look around and when you find the deal you will know it.

I found one at a chevy dealer here in Scottsdale, Az it was what I was looking for but standard wheels he agreed to swap out for chrome & charged me his cost, 2013 cpe GS 3LT blk/blk dual mode exh. manual trans.chrome wheels, took in my Denali lease a yr early, $9k dwn, $700 mo. 10k miles yr. This was a deal I could live with, now I just have to add "Mild to Wild" & I'll be good to go, salesman said they stock them there for $90, plus I better get touch up paint ,,, because I KNOW sooner or later I will use it on that front nose that SOOOOO close to ground !!

will stay with "Corvette forums" very informative, looking forward to learn much more, like HOW to know when to stop when pulling into parking spot without having to get out of car to see how close you are to the curb. they need to put one of those sensors on the front like most cars have on the rear. I'm VERY HAPPY with my purchase !!!

I have always bought my cars & kept them for 6-8 yrs, but after I retired & started collecting S.S & paid off the mortgage, I would like a new car every 3 yrs. or so until I reach 70 (maybe) and then may purchase my last (??) car to keep until I don't drive (or unable) anymore,. New cars come with new technology which keeps me in the loop, so to speak. Granted leasing is NOT for everybody, you have to look at your finances & decide which path to take. Over the last 63 yrs I have bought 7 cars/trucks & leased 2 , young people that take care of their autos SHOULD BUY them, much later in life your options & amount of time shortens you can sample more of the DREAM cars you could't afford before are now possible to experience. Just my theory.

Alright, I'm not knocking ya, I was just curious. I've had a few buddies around my age (25) that have leased cars and it seems that it was not in their favor in the end, but I hope you enjoy your car.

Absolutely BUY your cars at your age ! pay them off early if possible, keep them pristine cond. & then invest your $$ for the future. paying off car loans = FREE transportation.

Well NOT REALLY FREE !! but it always feels better once the car is paid for, sure you still have maintenance, ins, gas, plates etc. but you will always have those either way, nothing in life is truly FREE. sorry for the misconception.
