I always end up with Red cars even though I want silver/grey so I'm going to hold out but otherwise I would have bought it today.

Very nice....Thats was always my dream......not as a job - just to sit in the cockpit in take off and landing --- cant stop being amazed by these massive machines.....
Let me ask you - going in the vette after driving the jet on the runway - does nt it feel like the vette is so light?

That's a hard comparison to make. You steer the aircraft with your feet down the runway using the rudder pedals. You don't feel the weight so much on take off, unless you're empty or near max weight, then you can tell a difference in it's performance. But comparing it to a car isn't easy in that regard.

Wish I could take you for a ride up front, but thanks to those a-holes on 9-11, those days are over.

Is it true that just before take off you have to put the engines on max (step on it in N) - to check if all is good?

By the way - I saw nearly all of 911 from my roof top NY

No, not max power. But, we do spool them up a little before we set take off power.

I can't imagine witnessing that live.

Flying for a living would be awesome. Although, not the best for family life.

I fly the Cessna 172 and have my instrument, commercial, and about 50% of my CFI done. Also about 5 hrs in a Grob 115c for aerobatic training.

My plan is to CFI part-time, but at this point in my life there is no way I could do it full time.

My hats off to you. I have a high school buddy who is a chief CFI for Japan Air.

It is hard on a relationship, but, you also get some time apart so that you start to miss each other. I'm only gone about 3 nights a week, so it's not that bad. It's a good career otherwise.

Congrats to RobZ062012. He and his friend John drove off this afternoon heading to DFW, where it'll be shipped to FL.

She went to a good home.

You moved that car pretty quick for it having the miles it had....It was a 1LZ wasn't it? Good job with the sale, I have a brand new one for $49.5k 2LZ and 66xx miles. These cars just don't move like they used to.
